Air India should be changed to "flying bucket airlines". I have never seen another airline as bad air India. Everything about it is terrible. I had the misfortune of stepping into that flying bucket once......i could've sworn the "air hostess" was well past her retirement age......and excessively crabby.

Keralites in Gulf region (I don't know about other states) always look towards Emirates, Air Arabia, Oman Air etc for their journey to India and back.Air India is always the second choice.

Because they are managed like a professional company eventhough its owned by Dubai Govt. Their staff are paid well, but make a mistake and you are out.

I heard a story about emirates (I don't know whether its actual or not). During a trip to China, the whole flight crew of a particular aircraft took a day off in some Chinese island. Due to bad weather they could not get back to the airport on time and the flight was cancelled. The whole flight crew including the pilots was dismissed from service.

I guess Kingfisher has one of the best hostesses crew in India.........but my personal best is Quatar airways(gotta friend there)

Its a fashion to criticize the security, blackcats, escort vehicles etc given to our leaders, but we cannot overlook the facts that our leaders are on the hit list of everyone from Maoists to Jihadis. Its better to spent some thousands of dollars now on their security than spent millions of dollars later to contain the law & order situation if (God forbid) the leader gets assassinated.

I always prefer Jet over Qatar airways. I think Jet is slightly better than Qatar airways.

I was waiting in the Bengaluru IA for my flight to Mumbai when I saw this Grandmother and granddaughter duo strutting towards the boarding gates. Then only I realised that the grandmother was the AI air hostess (my fliight) and the grand daughter was that of the Kingfisher.

And to complicate things this AI flight was supposed to AIX - Air India INternational.

Bloody hell.

they had a diner type menu for economy class!!
