The 5 Most Deadly Navies in Asia

But most of them are still out-of-date,and those small boats are not for far-seas operationso_O

Prove your claim that these ships are outdated.

Corvettes are not supposed to perform far sea operations, they are not meant for. However IN Corvettes have participated in multinational "farsea" Ops anyway.

IN Corvettes usually forms defensive roles, keeping enemy at bay at Ports and Harbours, especially when a fleet is docked.

This is not a Versus thread, and several of our ships are old and does not carry the latest weapons. But that doesn't make them outdated or ineffective.

So this is why indian navy can't enter the top 5 list

What? All our ships aren't old! All our ships aren't carrying older weapons! We have newer ships with newer weapons too.
But other countries have more new ships

If everyone thinks India is a bad navy, let them think so. The more underrated you are, the better is your tactical advantage. That said, @SvenSvensonov's analysis was completely accurate, and I agree with his rankings.

Hey, Zarv, I'm good. You tell, all going well, I hope!
Welcome back mate How are you ? As for this thread I agree with the ratings but I think South Korea should be above Singapore

I know, the US has a presence in Asia but I was like can we do something without the presence of the big-white-red-n-blue for a while?
Well Guam is part of the US and is located in Asia even though it is not a fully incorporated state (Guam - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Literally speaking though the US is in Asia too.

"An examination of Asia’s navies—or more precisely, navies that operate regularly in Asian waters—puts these questions in the spotlight, not least because there is a massive disparity in the size and quality of the maritime forces in question. In a (highly hypothetical) fight between, say, India and Singapore, you’d expect the Indian Navy (IN) to best the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN): it’s got bucketloads of experience, more ships, more manpower and more money to buy or build replacements.

But which is the better navy? In qualitative, operational and policy-making terms, you’d say Singapore’s. And that’s why the RSN in is in this top five list, and the IN doesn’t make the cut, despite its heritage, history, two aircraft carriers and imminent commissioning of a nuclear-armed submarine."

Read this, the author has clearly included India in his examination.

How does this troll? ... :cheesy:

This India vs. Singapore comparison has been floating around since Lee Kuan Yew days. The comparison is ridiculous, and that it should occur again, and in the context of navies, of all things, really makes it nothing much more than something floated out to attract incredulity, disbelief and derision.

In other words, a troll post.

Now **** off.

Dear respected chinese internet army soldier,

Please take out the corvettes away from the Singapore navy and tell me how many principle surface combatants they have?

Only our Talwars and Shivalik frigates outnumber them.

Do send me my 25 cents because I know you will have to reply. Rules are rules.
Oh,you can't refute me with facts,so accuse me as internet army soldier.lol
Don't forget the Russian Pacific Fleet, they have more than 10 nuclear submarines which are very advanced in the world.

Respected soldier, its a FACT (not ccp propaganda) that after removing corvettes, Singapore navy is left with 6 modern frigates, while India with 15 frigates (of which 9 modern), 9 destroyers (of which 4 modern), two aircraft carriers (of which one modern) and a potent naval aviation arm and building more of all these as we speak.

And the corvettes we removed from the equation included THIS from India, which weighs the same as ALL SG corvettes put together, and this was commissioned in 2014, against Singaporean corvettes commissioned in 1991. So that was not worth 50 cents. Sorry.
