The 10 best Smartphones in the world right now

There are no problem with the battery, the battery life come from how you use your phone and the configuration it runs on. Which mean the battery is the same but if you use superior graphic detail, of course you are going to drain your battery sooner.

I don't know where this "Half battery life" come from, but most source put S9+ with snapdragon will last about 10 -to 11 hours with adreno 630 while Exynos with Mali G72 would run approximately 7-8 hours. The only way Snapdragon battery can last twice as much on Exynos is when you put the Snapdragon on standby and you put on both Wifi and 4G modem on the Exynos. Then you will get a 14 hours vs 7 hours battery life. And to be fair everybody think S9 is a lacklustre upgrade to S8, and if Huawei still cannot beat Samsung with this lacklustre upgrade, then the future of Huawei Flagship phone would be in doubt, because Samsung is like Intel, they skip a generation for major upgrade. Which mean the next Samsung Galaxy would be a major upgrade to the current one.

The thing is iPhone have both better performance and better graphic than Huawei P20 Pro. And as we discus before, the only things Huawei are superior to all other phones are Battery life (which is not by much actually) and the Camera. Anything other than that, form Display, Graphic generator to OS, iPhone are superior in those category. I would not say iPhone is an inferior product, in fact, iPhone X is considered to be a lot better than iPhone 7. And as suspected, not too many people think Camera and Battery life are that important at all. Hence it was reflected on the sale figure.

As for fingerprint sensor, Apple uses Face ID, which is something P20 Pro don't have, instead of Fingerprint, it is not that they can't afford it, it's just a change. Would you say the same to P20 Pro when the phone lack of an Audio Jack? Which you can found in any bargain-basement budget phone.

Apple intended to put a fingerprint scanner in the iPhone X, but they ran out of time. Which is why they put so much emphasis on face unlock which was on Android phones a long time ago, it's old news.

As for the battery, iPhone X has a battery of only 2700 mAh, maybe it's good for people who don't use their phone very much.

In comparison the Huawei P20 Pro has a battery of 4000 mAh.

First of all, that was a rumour.

Second of all, you misinterpret the rumour, the rumour is that Apple intended to put the fingerprint scanner on its 5.8 inch super retina screen (where normal fingerprint scanner are put on the bezel of the unit) and the development hit problem with the screen not being able to adjust to the sensitivity of the user input (you need to press hard on the screen to take a fingerprint, but you cannot press hard against the screen to navigate the touch screen.) And since the original design did not include a home button, they abandon the idea of fingerprint scanner on screen and move on to Face ID.

The thing is, the size of the battery in this case does not quite matter, because even with 2700 mAH battery, iPhone can still last for 11+ hours. And as I explained before, not many people actually see battery life is an issue anyway to begin with.

Actualy if apple manage to fit even 3000mAh in their iphones then it would still give excellent screen on time as well as stand by time because apple chip is very power efficient as compare to android

there are many negative about apple beside price..Iphone support fast charging but you have to buy additional charger for it which cost alot ..apple accessories are also very expensive and replacment and fixing your iphones is big no because the price you pay for replacing parts you could buy another seond hand iphone lol

Most displays are either from samsung (amoled) or LG(OLED) so display unit is not creation of apple

There were reports that apple deliberately slows down iphones as they get older for you to buy new expensive iphones

Yes I think Apple confirmed that themselves, they were deliberately slowing down old iPhones to force users to upgrade.

And as I explained before, not many people actually see battery life is an issue anyway to begin with.

That's news to me. Who doesn't care about battery life anymore?

Do you think that for the price, an iPhone X is worth having over TWO OnePlus 6 phones?

.
As a Nokia android user myself i recommend that phone it really is a safe investment they will give you updates for 3 years
I got Android 8 before galaxy :D
Do you use the Nokia 8 Sirocco?

. .
That's news to me. Who doesn't care about battery life anymore?

many people.

To begin with, many people today (Including me) have more than 2 phones, I have 3, my Samsung S9 (yes I bought that) which is my phone, my telstra ZTE , which is my work phone, and a Sony Xperia XZ which is my back up and since it is with optus, I use it to listen to spotify when I was out. Phone battery never run out.

Secondly, many people can charge the phone on the go, the fact that both iPhone and Samsung support wifi charging which would be more than compensate the battery charge to the Huawei P20 Pro (which do not have wifi charging) I can basically charge my S9 anywhere without using a cable, I can charge it at work, I can charge it on the street, I can charge it anywhere there are a Telstra telephone box, which mean you can literally never ran out of battery unless you are in a place where Wifi is not available for 7 to 10 hours. Which is quite impossible these day.

And finally, OnePlus 6 is honestly shit. If I want to buy a OnePlus 6, I probably will buy a mid-range Samsung phone (like J7 or something), Apple is faster, a LOT faster, and Apple have better everything than OnePlus 6. If I don't think that is all important, then why would I spend A$670 for a OnePlus 6, I can get a J7 pro for $499.

Is this joke to compare oneplus 6 with J7.. You probably did not check specification of oneplus 6 which is comparable to S9 I. E same processor.,RAM, AMOLED display etc Even its better than S9 in software and battery department because offer close to stock android and faster updates unlike laggy touchwiz and is even cheaper.. S9 probably has slightly better camera but that's it

I know what One Plus 6 spec is, I have a discussion with other member with it before, it is the Flagship phone that use Snapdragon 845 with adreno 630 and with 6 or 8 G RAM. You do know OnePlus 6 did not have anything, they don't have face ID, wireless charging, they don't have VR rendering, the screen is shit (at 488 dpi compare to 570+ in Samsung S9) the camera is 2 generation behind, and the software is not good at all. As I said, only the CPU on OP6 is qualified for flag ship material. It's a no-frill of Flagship phone, and if I were to buy a flagship phone and fork out 700 bucks for a phone with absolutely no feature, I would much rather buy a mid-range phone. That is what I said.

They were slowing down the processing to prevent freezing , as the battery wore down.
A Chinese make phone is still a bad word in many parts of the world. Wouldnt touch one with a barge pole.

First of all Oneplus 6 has face unlock

Display of OP6 is great because its samsung Amoled panel. You cannot judge the quality of display with only DPI because you previously said iphones have excellent display when their dpi is less than oneplus 6. Mobile screen is small so more pixel dont necessarily mean better display and QHD on such small screen is simply overkill which reduce battery life as has seen owners of samsung changing screen resolution to medium 1080p to get more juice and naked eye cannot tell difference between 1080p and QHD

Camera of OP6 is excellent . check the hardware of camera and its reviews. If its not in top 5 then surely its in top 10

Software is second best after pixel because it offer close to stock android experience and quick updates ..saying software is rubbish mean pure android is BS because they only did slight tweak on top of pure android and no bloatware

Wirless charging is additional stuffs which some might use while others dont. Oneplus offer dash charging which is faster charging available right now

I am not fan of specific brand but i love and appreciate great mobile technology no matter who offer it. Most well known mobile review sites will disagree with your views about oneplus 6

Face Unlock is not the same as Face ID... the level of security is different.

It's not just DPI that count but a combination of DPI, Resolution and Brightness.

Read the post I did with the other member here, I am not going to retype what I said there

https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/huawei-p20-beats-both-iphone-x-and-sg-s9.560708/page-2#post-10525331

By the way, iPhone have a better DPI than OP6 (iPhone X have 458 dpi OP6 is 401 DPI) plus OP6 is about an inch bigger than iPhone X, which further the Display issue.

Camera of OP6 is excellent . check the hardware of camera and its reviews. If its not in top 5 then surely its in top 10

Top 10 aren't really good enough to fork out 700 bucks.

Software is second best after pixel because it offer close to stock android experience and quick updates ..saying software is rubbish mean pure android is BS because they only did slight tweak on top of pure android and no bloatware

Oxygen OS does not support many function that have in Enhanced OS like Samsung Experience and even Huawei EMUI like network connectivity and so on. While it updated quite often, but almost all of these update is to performance base update, not application base update.

User experience is important for some.

I am not fan of specific brand but i love and appreciate great mobile technology no matter who offer it. Most well known mobile review sites will disagree with your views about oneplus 6

But then most well known mobile review site agrees with me. A lot of site calling it all punch but not hit. You catch the drift.

For a budget Flagship phone, maybe it worth the money, but then it's like people wanting to buy a Ferrari and ask if the Ferrari dealer if there is a budget option I can buy, because I don't want to spend a lot of money but I want to experience high end of driving.

Option does not come cheap and at high end phone, probably like high end anything, you get what you pay for.

.
Option does not come cheap and at high end phone, probably like high end anything, you get what you pay for.

Except in the case of Apple, where you pay the highest price for inferior hardware, which doesn't even have a fingerprint scanner.

This is because Apple customers are a "captive market", due to the Apple ecosystem they find it difficult to leave. As a result Apple can squeeze them for every single penny.

And finally, OnePlus 6 is honestly shit. If I want to buy a OnePlus 6, I probably will buy a mid-range Samsung phone (like J7 or something), Apple is faster, a LOT faster, and Apple have better everything than OnePlus 6.

Comparing a OnePlus 6 to a Samsung J7 (and saying the J7 is better) is a complete joke and shows you have no idea what you are talking about.

Can you find me any major review site that says a J7 is better than a OnePlus 6?

Again, the absent of a Fingerprint scanner is a choice for apple, like the choice Huawei P20 pro left out the audio jack.

And when Huawei can develop a OS as good as Apple iOS, Huawei can charge astronomical price with shitty quality phone and no one will care. People buy quality phone, not just a good camera.

Comparing a OnePlus 6 to a Samsung J7 (and saying the J7 is better) is a complete joke and shows you have no idea what you are talking about.

First of all, learn to read, I NEVER SAID J7 is better. In fact, I never compare the two phones. I compare OnePlus 6 with iPhone X, not J7.

What I said is, if I were to go for a budget flagship phone with ABSOLUTELY no feature, I would much rather go for a Mid-Range phone with a lot of accessories. To which I will choose to buy a J7 than a OnePlus 6

It's like going to a Ferrari dealership and ask for the budget version of a Ferrari and ask if I can drop every feature and make it even cheaper, if I have the money to get a Ferrari, I won't care about budget, and I will look at how much feature I can get out of the high end car. If I need to budget my buy, I would not buy a Ferrari in the cheapest range just to say I own a Ferrari, kind of like Mercedes buyer buying A Class. The same with mobile phone.
