Thar coal need more investment. Money stay in Pakistan for the must part. Locals get permanent jobs in probably poorest district, Sindh govt gets royalty. Win win.

We are wasting precious $$ on imported fuels, food, cotton, etc When it should mustly be used to import advance machinery/tech which isn't possible to manufacture in Pakistan.

Not just Thar coal, Balochistan has higher grade coal that can replace imports if you can secure the region from insurgency and allow infrastructure and economic development.
