Btw, the link that you posted, doesn't provide instances of historical inaccuracies and biased writings in India and Pak. Its just a list of articles about the issue in both the countries. This doesn't prove anything.

Dont want to dispute the fact that Indian notebooks saw some saffronisation when BJP was in power. But there was a huge hue and cry in the country and many of the changes in CBSE (central board) were reversed. Historians like Romila Thapar and other leftists made sure that these incidents were brought to light. Still things could be better.

List is long because of the number of news papers here in India is more than that of Pakistan....so more Newspapers...more articles ... hence a long list of articles...and not a long list of books.

I am being sarcastic, it was just a matter of time before someone found this and this happened where it become a India-Pak comparison where we bring up each others past and then sling mud at each other.

Even if we discuss this rationally, we will not change much as such things are decided by a ruling elite who are inept as well as unaware of repercussions of such things.

In my opinion, every department should function as a stand alone unit which cannot be influenced by any other department, education is the right for all and a privilege. The truth itself can be seen from different points of views and thus presenting it will bring no harm.

We know the problem exist, it has for some time and as evident from the articles the problem has been highlighted, discussed and altered but it still remains. The only way forward is an overhaul of the system not tweaks that further complicate things.

Though most of the things taught in the schools is standard all across the globe....its only history and Civics that the governments and other bodies will ever have control over.......beyond its upto the Pedagogy offered by the teachers and Society in general that shapes a child's mind.....I mean for how long are we going to blame on history book for all the misery we are into.

i will speak for indian part

the books listed in the link

talks about the issues of how rss is trying to distrupt the indian NCERT standard

and how rss is trying to bring hate culture in rajasthan(oly rajasthan till now )and therefore before it spreads whole nation it should be stopped

and it says wy history must be kept brief inorder to avoid blood boiling in young minds

one books says how english education is being stopped

but nothing againts in particular aagianst any religion or any country or u can say rss runed schools are the culprits not indian book system

We have an excellent school structure laid out by the Catholic Board of Education.

There teachers and system is an excellent method of providing education, though they primarily run private schools, they provide education to poor people as well and many then go on to lead better lives.

Many schools are being de-nationalized and this board is taking control of many of them.
