The US already has 5G technology and is continuing to expand. What killer 5G app do Chinese consumers have that US consumers don’t? Chinese “5G lead” is nonexistent. It’s all about the apps.
US dont have 5G tech, dont kid yourself. They are using Europe 5G tech which is a step behind Huawei.
Most of 5g patent are owned by Huawei.

By the way. why Tesla 3 need Chinese market to boast is popularity or sales? You didnt know CPC may banned Tesla car if they really feel threatened by US regime? Or maybe American themselves dont like Tesla?
All I can say is somebody was predicting BYD Han sales would pop and destroy Tesla sales in November. It didn't happen. Didn't happen in December either.
Is the BYD Han the new BYD Tang...the "Tesla killer" with all the specs and hot videos...that never went anywhere.

No where? Are you kidding me, BYD sold its BYD Han by 12,000+ units in Dec 2020, and the orders has push back to several months.
The cutting-edge Blade battery that installed on BYD Han is still at capacity-climbing stage, BYD simply coudld not make them enough to sastify the market, at the moment BYD simply sell as many BYD Han as they could make them.
Its rather stupid, even by your standard, to comparing the sells number between a model who consistently lower the prices during the years, with one that has huge capacity problem at the moment.

Oh so there is a battery production problem limiting sales. I guess that person didn't know about that when they said BYD Han sales would soon be topping Tesla's. They even called us out in a new thread for not announcing November sales quickly because they figured doom had already arrived.

Regardless of who said what, its just a well known fact that BYD Han is capped by the capacity of blade battery BYD can make
Guess what, if you go to whatever Tesla bomb's shop in China, and whenever the tesla bomb salesman ask you why you have not make up your mind and if you dare to bring out BYD Han, they will talk about BYD's blade battery capacity problem and say you need to wait for months for them to deliever, its like in their training.

Don't worry. Expect dancing galore at lower January Model 3 numbers because of Model Y deliveries cutting into sales.

I think BYD really have to expand their production capacity of batteries, the next big hit is the BYD Qin Plus, a new generation PHEV with super high mileage ( 3.8Liter/100km ) at very low battery charge level. Starts from 107,800 cny or 16,688 usd presale price. The final MSRP will be even lower. It was reported to have received 1 million orders so far. It will definitely slaughter all ICE cars for its super high value for money.
