ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik has warned that there are reports that terrorists may target media persons.

Speaking to newsmen here on Thursday, he said it is not possible to fully secure the entry points of the Parliament House.

Malik said that media persons should keep their cameras away from the Assembly gate due to security reasons. He advised the representatives of media to be watchful in this connection.

To a question, he said it was impossible to keep an eye on every person coming toward Parliament House.

Hope it doesn't turn out to be like the Sri Lankan cricket team attacks: true

He is referring to attacks similar to the shooting of a cameraman and reporter in SWAT and the attack on a local office of ARY in Quetta.

Isn't it like giving new ideas to the terrorists?

I mean, media is a well organized system. Mr. Malik didn't need to make these statements publicly. The necessary warnings/advices could have been conveyed to the concerned on a more 'concealed' level.

Torpedo, this is what happens when you put an Idiot with no security experience incharge of Pakistan's Ministry of Security... Rehman is 1 card short of a full deck and his behaviour shows that clearly.

Oh Please...could this be true? Would the terrorists attack the media for us?

That would be awfully nice of Betty Mesudi....
