India Infiltration through Media Houses to promote Indian version of Kashmir Struggle.

Kashmir Struggle is one of the oldest disputes and India is hellbent to distort its rightness and right from the beginning India has used many means to malign this struggle mainly by hypocritical means. India not only used its security grid to silence this movement but hired the very locals for the same. And these locals inspite of knowing and understanding the rightness of the movement pave ways for the malicious plans & distorted version of Indian establishment thus strengthening the grip of Indian hegemony as well as Indian illegal occupation on Kashmir. If we take an analytical view on current political and armed struggle which is going to complete now three decades right from 1990’s, we will be able to see that how India penetrated and spread its vicious tentacles in Kashmir through various means like NGO’s, trade unions, political system etc. and among these one means is the Media also, which played both positive and negative role in this struggle.
In 1990’s Kashmir was having a few local dailies but once the armed & political struggle gained momentum against Indian illegal occupation, India, on one hand started to crush this struggle by brutal armed forces and secondly started to propagate the false version of this legitimate struggle through media. India started to pave way for national newspapers and channels to establish their base in Kashmir so that they can air Pro-India news whenever and where ever needed. For that India agencies suggested the recruitment of local Kashmiris so that nobody can doubt on their sincerity or way of work. currently we can observe that national as well as inter-nation media houses are working in Kashmir and among the national ones India infiltrated their own guys or those guys whose inclination is towards fame & power. Among these many well known media faces played dubious role and also got the desired rewards. Some of the prominent Kashmiri media faces who played intentionally or unintentionally in favor of Indian establishment or their strings were/are pulled by Indian establishment are Shujaat Bukhari, Parvez Lone, Salim Pandith, Mir Fareed along with current Republican TV channel lady journalist Zeenat, Ahmad Fayaz, Ashraf Mir & some of the local editors & some journalists of local dailies etc.
A brief introduction off all those guys will be provided within the coming parts of this series. starting with Shujaat Bukhari, who currently runs many media houses and prominent among these is The Rising Kashmir.
Shujaat Bukhari is a well-known name in journalism. He has been in journalism for last nearly three decades and calls himself a scholar.
Let we do a brief factual audit of his career to understand his meteoric rise. He arrived as a young man literally bare foot possessing nothing except a daily wager job of reporter at Kashmir Times. That too was not based on merit but reference of a journalist.
He was not a journalist but a hawker in his village. His brother was an usher in a hotel in Delhi.
Both are sycophants. So they grabbed everything deceit.
He came in Srinagar living in office with cooks and others earning a small wages which could hardly make his ends meet.
As the paper, he came in contact with the high-end contacts and he was cultivated. Nobody knew it. He would work secretly like an informer using journalism as cover. His major break came in The Hindu as a reporter from Kashmir. He was appointed on the recommendation of a politician.
During this time PDP was made and he played a key role in its formation. PDP was Indian agencies project and he was already working with them. His presence came handy for PDP and agencies and he acted as a mediator or conduit. For this role his brother was given mandate in PDP. He faked kidnapping to increase his profile. Then he was given security as he felt threat for his covert works.
Soon he turned to be a newspaper owner and started Rising Kashmir. Madhu Kishwar exposed him and said he got Rs.22 crore from Indian Home Ministry for starting the news paper.
The veil they work behind will get faded away and the faces will get clear who is who but till then they try to malign this struggle with their sweet & bitter tone. A media houses have proved among the important tools for any establishment but it is the inner conscience that has to be addressed at the end of the day and those working as pawns must also feel deep inside whether they do justice with their profession and their own self.
