إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون
Senseless and anti-Islamic attack.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashtiname_of_Muhammad
The first Muslims of Egypt and the companions of Prophet Muhammad (saws) when they reached Egypt never attacked any Christian churches, Christians nor did they oppress Christians. Nor did they destroy pre-Islamic heritage sites.
Yet 1400 years after (!) certain "Muslims" want to tell us all that they were wrong and that we in fact should/must kill non-Muslim minorities in the Arab world and attack their places of worship.
This is obviously part of the agenda to demonize Islam and Muslims and to make Muslims as a collective responsible for the actions of a tiny, tiny minority of bloodthirsty criminals (which is what they are). We already see the effects of this demonization. Innocent Muslims, in particular in the West, are forced to take a stand about something they have nothing to do with and something they should not feel guilty about. Not anymore than Christians feeling guilty of all the crimes that "Christians" commit across the world and have committed and others.
Also I am not sure why certain people, who obviously are desperate to create an agenda on a Pakistani forum, although no Egyptians or Arabs will buy that agenda in real life so it is pointless writing about it here, want to connect this attack with Syria.
ISIS/radical militant Islamism in Egypt is nothing new and Copts being targeted is nothing new either. It has been going on for decades long before the existence of all current-day terrorist groups in the region.
In fact political Islamism (the radical version included) as we know it originated in Egypt.
