How easy is it to get military grade guns in Pakistan? Is there a way to control that at all? There was a huge drop in violence compared to previous years in Pakistan (and this made it a very attractive investment destination). False news. Nothing happened inside university. Just routine firing half km away.

AT 8:10 pm a caller named Ashfaq informed 15 police emergency response centre that he had heard explosion followed by firing in HABIB university near Pehlwan Goth n Jouhar Chorangi.

On this SSP base East called n informed me and I directed SP GULSHAN n SHO n SDPO Shahrai e FAISEL police station to verify the information.

SHO rushed to the incident meanwhile some media channels reported presence of terrorists inside the university . On this I with my team stormed to the place of incident n called Rangers.

We cordoned university from outer side and entered inside visited whole university, got it sweeped n cleared that no any criminal was inside the university and no loss of life and no injury was seen.

When university guards were interviewed they said they heated cracker like explosion from the backside of university and they fired themselves in panic. We we inspected the wall we could not be able to verify any bomb explosion but witnessed cracker like splitters on the back side of compound wall.

From this it seemed no terrorist activity took place nor any major or serious injury caused nor yet any loss of life or property caused.

So university administration was further contacted who confirmed that no any sabotage has been caused it was just their guards fired in panic.

Therefore, matter has been closed and no FIR or case university is going to make.

This is our final version on the issue and be noted and published for public interest so that any unnecessary panic and unrest be avoided.
