The Story in APC and at this university would have been different if the teachers would have been trained and equipped with Mp-5 sub machine guns, which are made in Pakistan in mass.


We want that every school and University in Pakistan is equipped with 5 x MP-5 sub machine guns, depends on the size of the school and number of Students !

From the schools point of view this is added cost. Most are low profit and can afford one or at maximum 2 guards who are mostly armed with some outdated shotgun-especially the public schools. They can't afford the security systems or barbed wire fences either. It is added cost for them and these costs cut into profits. In an ideal situation they would not or should not be asked to pay for their security. Law and order comes under the interior ministry and they should uphold it.

I agree. We should even have resisted American pressure and not become a part of the Anti Soviet war. We are hated by the Afghans for whom we did this. I think we need to think of our history in Afghanistan more critically. But the problem indeed is what it is now. How could we have said no to the US, then or now? We need to grow a pair and really pull away from this US dependency.

they are schools not forts janab . there are millions of soft targets and schools are include also . anyone can go to school door and knock it sure they will open the door . daily someone came to school its not military cantonments sir. its almost impossible to secure all of schools

Will somebody tell me that Why we can't seal our border with Afghanistan? How much more coffins we would have to bear and for how longer we will let our Enemies play proxies through Afghanistan? Afghanistan is bloody hostile country and no country should have friendly approach with Hostile state. Each and every Afghan is full of hatred for a country which feeds their hungry MF Citizens disguised as Refugees.
Pakistan can't be Peaceful , no matter how many operations our Armed forces do in Tribal Areas and NE Waziristan unless we seal our border with Afghanistan. When friendly countries like Germany and france have a well governed border then why can't we Militrize the Pak-Afghan border. WHY THE HELL NOT?

Sir we cant even get past the Damn F-16 dependency even when there are other options available forget about getting away from other US dependencies. When we have leaders who go to US before coming to Pakistan in a bid to get elected and become PM, we cant really expect them to grow a pair and pull Pakistan away from US dependency.

To be very honest with you, people have stopped caring about what happens in this country. Only people who do care are the victims. If there really was a damn given there would have been an uproar at the incompetency of current leadership who is out on visits enjoying tea and cakes while people are dying.

Only one leader who has always genuinely come to help is Gen. Raheel, all others are just looking for opportunities to politically score points or show the other one inferior. And in the middle of this whole mess, the populace who has zero care for the problems and its so called remedy of NAP which politicians really hate because it can target them too.

Breakthrough achieved in identifying Charsadda attackers: DG ISPR

CHARSADDA / PESHAWAR / ISLAMABAD: At least 21 people died when gunmen armed with grenades and Kalashnikovs attacked a university in Charsadda Wednesday, as security forces moved in under thick fog to halt the bloodshed.

The militants, using the cover of thick, wintry fog, scaled the walls of the Bacha Khan University before entering buildings and opening fire on students and teachers in classrooms and hostels, police said.

The gunmen attacked as the university prepared to host a poetry to commemorate the death anniversary of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, a popular ethnic Pashtun independence activist after whom the university is named.

The attack comes a little over a year after Taliban gunmen stormed Army Public School in December 2014 and slaughtered more than 150 people, most of them children, in an hours-long siege.

What we know so far:

- 21 killed, over 30 injured

- Four militants killed during operation

- TTP claims responsibility for attack

Turkish President expresses grief over Charsadda attack

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan telephoned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and expressed condolences over the attack.

According to a statement, the two leaders agreed terrorism was the common enemy and joint efforts were needed to eliminate the menace.

DG ISPR Lt Gen Asim Bajwa says security forces have gathered satisfactory information about the attackers on Bacha Khan University.

“We have gathered all relevant data about where these terrorists came from and who sent them,” he said while addressing the media.

“The terrorists were continuously conversing on their mobile phones, two of which we have recovered and collected data from,” he added.

Bajwa said it was a major success of the forces that within 45 minutes, the terrorists were contained inside the varsity.

“There were 52 guards of the Bacha Khan University who responded to the attackers, whereas within a short span of time LEAs also reached the site,” he said.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appreciated the sentiment expressed by the prime minister of India with regards to the terrorist attack in Charsadda, said a Foreign Office statement.

“This incident is yet another reminder that terrorism is our common enemy and a cooperative approach is essential to eliminate it from the region.”

Condemning the terrorist attack in Charsadda, Afghan National Security Adviser Hanif Atmar termed it an attack on the peaceful ideology of BachaKhan.

He extended condolences to the families of the deceased and prayers for the recovery of the injured.

Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai also condemned the attack.
