KARACHI: One Navy officer was martyred while two terrorists were held when a Navy ship came under a terrorist attack on Saturday morning, sources said.

The incident occurred when the ship was off Karachi coast.

According to details the terrorists executed the attack with the help of two Navy personnel. These Navy personnel opened fire on their own colleagues with modern weapons.

The Navy staff retaliated the fire and succeeded in arresting to terrorists.

Scrutiny of the Navy personnel has been intiated.

Terror attack thwarted at Karachi Naval Dockyard

KARACHI: An attempted terrorist attack on Saturday by militants on the Pakistan Naval Dockyard was thwarted, in which one security personnel and two attackers were killed, while four were captured alive.

The militants attempted to break into the dockyard after which on-duty security guards responded by firing. One Pak Bahria officer was killed in the attack along with six sailors injured.

The revelations were made by known by Pakistan Navy officials on late Monday night.

The injured do not have life threatening wounds and are being treated at a hospital.

After investigating the miscreants that were taken into custody, a search operation was conducted in different parts of the country in which individuals that were involved in planning the attempted attack, were taken into custody.

During the search operations large caches of ammunition and weapons were seized.

The naval chief congratulated the security staff that were involved in the successful operation and commended their valor.

He also visited the injured Pak Bahria personnel and paid tribute to their courage.

Formal investigation of the incident has begun, while other law enforcement agencies have also started investigations.

The navy statement says it took place on Saturday, but today is Monday night. So it went completely un-noticed?

I mean there were 6 terrorists, the same number which attacked Kamra and other places \. So this wasn't a small one.

It went Completely Un-noticed because of coverage of PTI, PAT Dharna and Flood Relief Coverage, But now all Pakistani News Channels are Reporting this.

This is the matter of concern. An attack on a PN Ship itself. So far the attacks have been on personnel, facilities or on perimeters.
The other thing is (though this has happened before) is the degree of "inside involvement".

Sad but true, there are a lot of black sheeps inside Pak security agencies, they provide the secret informations plan the attack and some physically involve in attacks. I'm just wondering why this incident un noticed by media as it happened on Sunday morning 4am.

So According to GEO News this Battle took place on Saturday night, Terrorist did their terrorist activities in PAK NAVY Dockyard for 10 Hours.

2 Serving Navy Sailors (EMPLOYEES) helped the terrorists to enter the Dockyard and they Opened fired upon their colleagues in PAK NAVY with Modern and Automatic weapons and they tried to reach the Naval warship.

PAK NAVY Personnel on Security Duty fired back at the terrorists killing two and captured some.

The captured terrorists were interrogated and they gave information regarding their helpers and more arrests were made.

PAK NAVY is being SCRUTINIZED for any Sympathizers of Terrorist Groups.

One Petty officer of PAK NAVY was killed and 6 other personnel were injured including one officer, 2 terrorists were killed 4 captured.

PAK NAVY hid the reports of this incident from Media.

Attack was Foiled, PAK NAVY is reporting that NO NAVAL Assets were lost in this terrorist attack.

Very surprising that I was around Lalazar at the said time. Probably no heavy weapons were used and that could be the number one reason it did not grab any attention. Plus The exact location of the attack is also not given and the area in question could be secluded.

Calm down. Apparently they released the news after everything got sorted. They have already arrested number of people, and no property damage what so ever.
