Terror attack in Gurdaspur, India

Here are the latest developments in this story:
  1. Live bombs have been found at a railway track on the Pathankot-Amritsar line, not far from the Dinanagar police station, pointing to a well-planned attack intended to cause maximum damage, the police said.
  2. The terrorists are holed up inside the police station and are exchanging fire with the police.
  3. At about 5.45 this morning, they attacked a Jammu-bound bus at the crowded Dinanagar bus stand and injured several people. One passenger was killed.
  4. The terrorists then hijacked a white Maruti Alto and drove it up to the police station. They opened fire, killing the policeman on guard duty and stormed inside.
  5. Another policeman has been killed and there are fears that the casualties could go up.
  6. Army commandos have reached Dinanagar to reinforce the police, who have cordoned off the area.
  7. Highways have been sanitised and search operations are on for any more live ammunition that might have been planted.
  8. The Union Home Ministry has confirmed that it is a terrorist attack. The Home Secretary will review security with top officials of the ministry.
  9. Dinanagar borders Pathankot which has many key Army establishments.
  10. It is also close to the border.

yes timing of the attack is surely interesting, as BSF attacked civilians on this side of the border & Pakistan asked UN observer to investigate, and that task had been carried out in timely manner.......
