Tequila ummah: Alcohol in the Muslim world

How many Muslim members here have tried alcohol? Of course if you don't mind sharing. Obviously, most of our Turkish members have drank those guys have a Qu'ran in one hand and a bottle of alcohol in the other (joking...)

What I find hypocritical and double-standard is how in Islam alcohol in this life is forbidden even in moderation but supposedly in the afterlife infinite amount of wine and alcohol is free-flowing and allowed for consumption...

Also didn't Prophet Isa drink wine when he supposedly converted water to wine, historically it was safer to drink wine during those times than water because water was unsafe for human consumption.

I drink very rare like 6-9 times a year and that is when i am with very close friends.Actually i hate alcohol's smell or taste it makes me want to puke my whole body reject it mysteriously but you think i am going to let my body stop me ? Hell No I consume bitter chocolate when drinking to supress taste and smell of alcohol. In short when i drink i don't take pleasure from it , i do it only to get drunk as soon as possible therefore drinking strongest thing think i can find.

lol......dude no one drinks alcohol because it tastes good......every one does it for the after effects.....when you drink often you get used to the taste and smell....there is no pleasure in the taste and smell of alcohol...its only when it hits you in your brain

5 times namaz a day is a difficult schedule and regiment to live by. I use to pray only Jummah, but I don't even do that anymore as I'm falling out with the namaz not to mention I don't like the local masjid.

It is thing u need to be ashamed of if u are a Muslim. If you dont pray then keep it with urself dont keep annoucing it to the world.

I can only pray that May Allah give u insight and power to see what is ur actual purpose in this life and hereafter as a Muslims. Ameen

I know for you this world may be more meaningful then the thought of life hereafter. But Just remember that when u die , the first question going to be asked from you is about Namaz , just think what are you going to tell then ?

May Allah save us all from the Azab-e-Kabar(azab of grave) but u just think of it for once.

Well alcohol in general doesn't taste good, there are fruity flavor beverages but that's mostly for girls. Though because you drink it irregularly your taste buds aren't accustomed to it and that is true for many foods and drinks, but for regular drinkers they have become accustomed to the taste.

Alcohols don't have fruity flavour. Even wine don't taste fruity.

try some "liqueurs" like baileys or try cocktails or dessert wines..they taste good.

Alcohols don't have fruity flavour. Even wine don't taste fruity.
