Nasaka Bahini picks up 4 Bangladeshis, including 3 cops
BANDARBAN: Nasaka Bahini of Myanmar border guard picked up four Bangladeshis including three police men from Ghundhum border of Naikhangchhari Upazila of Bandarban on Wednesday evening.
Three of the victims were Erfan Sarkar, Md Imran Hossain, and Mujibur Rahman, constables of Teknaf Police Station, and another one was Md Saiful Islam of the area.
Police said Nasaka arrested them from the area at about 5.00pm when they entered the Myanmar territory.
Bandarban police super Quamrul Ahsan confirmed the incident.
A flag meeting between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Nasaka Bahini is scheduled to be held on Thursday to bring the four back.

Myanmar border security force Nasaka picked up four Bangladeshi nationals including three police constables from Ghumdhum border at Naikkhangchhari upazila in Bandarban on Wednesday.
The constables are Imran Hossain, 25, Irfan Sarkar, 25, and Mujibur Rahman, 26, while the other national is Saiful Islam, a local resident of about 27 years of age.
The four were taking photographs along the border at about 5:00pm when Nasaka members entered Bangladesh territory and grabbed hold of them, witnesses said.
The constables were posted at a Rohingya camp in Teknaf upazila of the adjoining Coxs Bazar district.
The Bangladeshi citizens were yet to be released yesterday when this report was filed at 7:00pm.
We are trying to hold a flag meeting with Nasaka. We have already sent a letter to some high officials of the force, said Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Khalekuzzaman, commander of 17-battalion of Border Guard Bangladesh.
BGB officials waited for two hours yesterday at the zero point to meet Nasaka but no one showed up from the other side, the commander added.
