Tension along Tamabil border

I concur. The secularist munafiq groups has always been try to label Jamaatis as un-Islamic and enemy of BD however they have proved to be patriot and very Islamic since they are corruption free. Allah will not forgive those steal from other.

Awami is just plain thief and ineffective because most Awami leaders has come from low class Muslim family( No kandani identity). They are fit for servantship rather than leadership.

BNP has done good but I find most BNP leaders(current scenario) doesn't really follow Zia's ideology. They are opportunistic. It's end time for Begum Zia. If Allah allow then she will have another chance to run the country in near future. It will be a good opportunity for her to install only Patriotic Islamic forces in key places to stair the country in right direction.

Jamaat stood for unification Pakistan and I found nothing wrong with that since it was their right to defend Pakistan as Pakistani citizen. People of Bangladesh should give Jamaat a change to run the country. I believe they will bring prosperity although it will be hell for anti-Islamic seularist.

Do you suppose that Tarique Zia takes control? Used to be the most hated guy in the country. Have you heard the recent statements made by Jamaat leaders? They seem pretty childish and narrow minded if you ask me. Not the kind of talk that's supposed to come from potential leaders.

As far as Hasina goes, it appears that she won't permanently go down without a fight. I think it is fair to say something similar about the BNP axis of leadership. Bangladeshi leaders are too busy to protect their political careers from falling right in front their faces for obvious reasons. And of-course, the riches.

Jamaat are more or less random fish in the sea. Their marketing is a poor one I'd say. Khaleda is just using them to gain votes.

The BNP mostly stood for secular, right wing, non-socialist ideals - not exactly religious ideals.

this is from BNP website:

The BNP promotes a very center-right policy combining elements of conservatism, corporatism, nationalism, strong defense, anti-anarchism and anti-communism. It is more popular among the country's business class, military, and conservatives, and is credited with bringing socio-economic stability in the country. Young people have showing particular interest to the party due to its open minded policy and in large the party is operated by young leaders. The party believes that Islam, is an integral part of the socio-cultural life of Bangladesh, and favors Islamic principles, as well as cultural views together. This is particularly seen through its alliance with the Islamic party of Jamaat.

The parts are correct. And yes, the BNP does go for Islamic standards in daily life to a certain degree, but that doesn't mean that they would literally go for an Islamic state as some people seem to imply.

There is some propaganda in the bold part. It was written just to appease some uneducated mullahs for votes. Remember, Zia Rahman never intended to go for an Islamic state or something like that - something that Jamaat has been trying to do.

It will be unfair if we compare the qualities of Tarique with his father. He definitely made some mistake and that was due to overwhelmed power. He was the subject of massive attack from Awami media for obvious reason. I believe Tarique has learned his lesson and he carry the blood of Zia. So he will come back as better person. Let's face it, he is still popular among Bangladesh nationalist and without him, BNP is goner. :)

Biggest failure of Jamaat is that they have failed miserably to duplicate leaer like Nizami, Mujaheed and Allama Syeedi. Current Jamaat leaders has no charisma.

Not only vote. Jamaat actually like Zia family due to late president Zia. Remember, Zia rehabilitated Jamaat.

No it is not. BNP is not secular. It is conservative with modern look. BNP and Jamaat ideology is almost same. One wear suit and other kurta pajama. If you know what I mean. ;)

:butcher: ANOTHER 13.5 ACRES OF GOAINGHAT TO INDIA

Everything is set for conceding another 13.5 acres of cultivable land to India at Kulum Chhara in Goainghat upazila tomorrow ( Monday). Bangladesh survey officials in the Indo- Bangla Joint Border Demarcation team said it was agreed to set bamboo pillars inside Bangladesh at Kulum Chhara border conceding 13.50 acres. Confirming the decision ADC (Revenue) Ahmed Shamim Al Rajee told UNB that demarcation and setting of bamoo pillars at Kulum Chhara border are scheduled for tomorrow. Law enforcing agencies including police, BGB and plain clothed security officials are being deployed in the area so that the joint border demarcation team can carry out its task without any disturbance, officials said. Kulum Chhara area is in addition to 261 acres, including Padua, in Goainghat border already conceded to India during the last two weeks. Bamboo pillars have been set on the new line of border despite angry demonstrations by villagers. Lamenting at the loss of their crop lands, farmers in these areas said Indians are not allowing them to go to their land, which they cultivated for ages. BSF threatens to shoot them if they venture to cultivate the newly demarcated lands. Dildar Hossain, former MP of the area said the villagers under the banner of ‘ Amra Simantabashi (We the residents of the border)’ will launch vigorous movement after the Ramadan to thwart the government move to handover the lands to India which the farmers used to cultivate for ages. He questioned the necessity of fresh demarcation of border and viewed that the present subservient government has taken the step to handover certain areas of Bangladesh territory to India.

Bangladeshi brothers
I am really sad that we have political party like Awami league and it's even sadder that there are people actually support that party. I suspect we will not have country left if this continue without resistance. May Allah help us.

I read this somewhere

Businesses may come and go, but religion will last forever, for in no other endeavor does the consumer blame himself for product failure.

and

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.

The AL are socialists. But then, all of them are rich. Back in the 90's all of the government run industries were looted by AL men. I'd suppose they are more like thieves than socialists

It's not like that. Some people really misunderstand the word 'Kafir', yes including Muslims.

The AL are prolific thieves, conspirators and liars - end of story.
