tejas wont be inducted in large numbers

Its ios very clearly MKI is only 40 and then on its MKII. If you dont get it you are all an IDIOT. The article do not talk about MKII. If for taking pot shots if you all want to continue it doesnt matter really we will bring it on when its really required. At that time we shall see which is better. For now I shall go with the Idiots and will avoid arguing with any of them.

MARK 1 TEJAS as we see and know today is not what IAF wants ultimately. HENCE i see mo more than 1 sqd entering service ie 20 fighters between FOC 2012-2015.

in these 3 years 2012-2015 A MARGINALLY BIGGER LCA ie MK2 TEJAS will be tested using a bigger engine better radar and better avionics.

THIS IS WHAT IAF envisaged WHEN it lauched programme ie a quality 4 generation fighter that will replace 125 mig21 bisons. Starting 2016 at the increased production rate of 15 fighters [per year).

Hence by 2020 75 mk2 Tejas MAX + 20 mk1... = 95 LCA intotal.

The reality is that Indian politicians make a lot more money in kick backs when they purchase foreign made weapons. Thus making tejas in India will not get them the amount of kick backs that they get in purchasing 125 foreign made fighters. So tejas will never be produced in large numbers and will later be called technology demonstrtors for designing a bigger and better plane. In the mean time the froeign purchases will continue.

Just remember what happened to Arjun. Is it not that India is still buying T90 tanks from Russia? If you guys can build Arjun then why not produce them in large numbers why is it that your politicians have chosen to purchase T90 tanks.
