Tejas aircraft deficient in at least 100 technical parameters

.
This is coming for a totally non-technical person.

If India did not have experience in building a jet fighter ground up, why did it need to re-invent the wheel? It could have bought off the shelf technologies from Russia and France.

I dont understand what knowledge will India get from LCA project which is not already there.

Compared to this effort, JF-17 project model was more feasible.

Here you go.. we have been doing this for more than half a century..

Source --- wiki.

Harlow PC-5 — first aircraft assembled by HAL
Percival Prentice — 66 built by HAL
Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 — FL, M, Bis and Bison upgrades variants
Folland Gnat
HAL Ajeet — improved version of the Folland Gnat
Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-27 — M variant
SEPECAT Jaguar— IS, IB and IM variants
BAE Hawk — scheduled production run of 42 aircraft
Sukhoi Su-30 — MKI variant
Dornier Do 228 — Also providing equipment for production of the upgraded Do 228 NG variant
Aerospatiale SA 315B Lama — HAL Cheetah, Lancer, Cheetal Variants
Aerospatiale SA 316B Alouette III — HAL Chetak, Chetan Variants
HAL HS 748 Avro — Modified for military usage, includes Series 2M variant with large freight door.

Watch a baby, it will crwal, try to walk, fall down often.. but it is a learning process. it has have to go thru it to learn to walk and in future run...

you can not always rely on other..

We are on step 3 and you are saying it was better to do step 1, completely forgetting 3 comes after 1 and 2. I know step 1 is so new to you guys that you feel like you are on step 5. How many times we need to make you understand.

Which is already being done with MiG, Sukhoi and Dassault aircraft. It was good to have tried to build a 4.5 gen fighter, because without it, we would just move into the 5th Gen with no prior knowledge, and completely screw up the AMCA.

I dont understand what knowledge will India get from LCA project which is not already there.

For one, India will get a Light Aircraft cheaper than it's alternatives, yet far more advanced than the MiG 21s they'll replace.

India will also gain experience with making small RCS aircraft, LCA has something like 1m sq. I think. This will carry on into the AMCA program.

Compared to this effort, JF-17 project model was more feasible.

India has already implemented a similar model for the Su-30MKIs.

We live in a cruel world buddy. Neither Tejas works nor their is any justice in this world. I have sympathy for you.

Don't. Cause what you see is not what you think ;)

. .
Gents, lets keep jf-17 out of this thread and concentrate on the speculative 100 technical parameters of lca

Can you post a source showing even 20 deficiency of Tejas other than it's underpowered engine. If not mention 20 parameters which according to you think Tejas is deficient in.

.
THINK THE INDIANS SHOUKLD HAVE PICKED A PARTNER FOR LCA from the beginning

be DASSULT OR SUKHOI even GENERAL DYMAMICS.

I gurantee by now THE LCA will have been in service AND POSSIBLY no need for HUGE MMRCA ORDER.

India was not ready FOR THIS YET

in reply to WINDJAMMER

Inter

INTERNATIONAL INPUT EXISTS IN MOST MAJOR FIGHTER PROJECTS

India did not /does not have the technology to INDENGIOUS BUILD EVERY ASPECT 100% of the fighter
India/hal/drdo IS not Dassult of France or sukhoiRussia or General DynAMICS/ Macondald Douglas

INDIA is a developing country AND NEEDED assistance

Just LIKE Swedens GRIPEN uses USA engines and euro/usa weapons
just like chinease JF17/J10 uses RUSSIAN engines
Just like EUROPEANS had 4 nations build TYPHOON.

but india LEARNT alot more than simply assembling SPARE PARTS imported from OVERSEAS to call it a HOME GROWN fighter windjammer

tejas may not be WHAT IAF ideally enviaged BUT its a great effort for a developing nation

A LOT WAS LEARNT A GREAT INFRASTUCTURE BUILT UP AT HAL/DRDO for the future indengious efforts of india.

Albeit, you seem to be in Q & A with your self, just like to add that all the above you mentioned, whatever input they may have had, I'm sure it wasn't as diverse as the assistance given to the Indians for the LCA project and what's more important is the fact that all the ones you quoted are by far more complicated and comprehensive platforms than something like the Tejas...more over within the time frame, they have operational products to show for themselves. !!

The key thing is that India has an aggressive free press and anything will be dissected by the media, which is a good thing that it keeps the military on its toes. After all, even the F-35 has hundreds of critical articles on the net for the same reason. In contrast you will find hardly any articles criticising or even questioning JF-17, J-10 or whatever is the Chinese tank Khalid was copied from, from their own countries. For instance, has anyone in Pakistan dared to question why the Paf is going for an obsolete plane that is all-metal, no FBW, uses a old design Russian engine and a Chinese radar.

The LCA is progressing fine, even though delayed. And there will still be lots of criticisms from Indian sources, which is also fine, because that is the reason the Indian army can't do a Bangladesh, a Kargil or take over control of the country's economy, that's the strength of a democracy and free press.

One certainly can't question your ability in cheap banter and all sorts in rambling.....last i visited this thread, the subject was an aircraft or to an extent air force.....and unlike any other air force, the IAF has the distinction of setting a record in crashes and despite all the criticism by the so called free media, it still has to operate the Indian patent, flying coffin and it's very unfortunate that while India is equipped with next generation MiGs, Jaguars, Harriers and Mirages, Pakistan has ended up with the OBSOLETE JF-17.......but then PAF always had inferior jets than IAF and still managed to give the much bigger air force a bloody nose.....BTW, it would help you if you visited the JF-17 information pool to understand what's it made of. !!

.
What bloody nose we killed your pride of the airforce jets easily.

Let us make Pakistan Better

BTW JF 17 is made of aluminium and scrap

IN FOCUS: China awaits fighter export breakthrough

jf17_crash.jpg

"Hard data [about Chinese fighter exports] is hard to find," says Teal Group analyst Richard Aboulafia. Reflecting the dearth of hard figures, Teal's February 2012 fighter forecast excludes Chinese-made types.

"China is having almost no impact on world markets, except in a marginal way," he adds. "Their niche, if you could call it that, is countries that can't afford anything better. The JF-17 is an obsolete and cheap aircraft, ideal for the Pakistan market, which values numbers over actual combat effectiveness. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere else, and only marginal country markets have been mentioned as prospects - other than Egypt."

Very much true................ ll other countries looking advance fighter planes not obsolete aircraft but it is useful for pakistan. They have low budget and can't afford expensive and advance aircrafts.

Most properly, China will provide some advance aircraft after 2015 than till time Pakistan will be happy with JF 17

Sir. pls stop telling us like that.....

jf 17 = 10 Sukhoi mki...
F16 = 20 Sukhoi mki

I am not trolling but better should we get proper link and details than u can say like that.....
