You miss the point when you count out the North South corridor entirely. You keep on discussing your Pakistan centric view and how Chabahar was established only as a means to isolate Pak or destabilize Cpec in any way. Absolutely false.
How in god’s name would building a trading port in Iran -isolate Pakistan or disrupt Cpec for China- like you keep repeating? Do explain this theory in depth.

Chabahar’s inclusion in the N-S trade corridor stands true to its motives- it will reduce shipping costs and time to Europe and back for all stake holders- namely- India, Iran, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Central Asia and Europe; while also being able to bypass Pakistan when it comes to Afghanistan. It was never in any India-Iran memos to have Chabahar as an strategic Indian outpost. Look up the documents since this project’s inception.

NO doubt you are correct..But we can not as Pakistan do not want us to send through Pakistan...Otherwise, why would India go through Iran, if Pakistan can easily charge transit fee and provide access to India to trade with Central Asia and Iran..

Well one needs to compare apples to apples. Gwardar and Chabahar are completely different projects. Now Gwardar is a small but important part of a very huge project called CPEC. China has spend $60 billion dollars and this amount is increasing by the month. Don't be surprised if this amounts reaches almost $100 billion in the next few years.

Now as we speak, india has not even spend $200 million on Chabahar. You just cannot compare the magnitude of what China is doing to misery attempts by India. China is a financial superpower and is spending like a superpower to ensure the success of a critical life line project. India is a developing country and is spending like a developing country. well chahbahar and Gwadar have different market and if they will compete for customers then it has to be for central asian customers and competition is a healthy thing for anyone . indians do whatever they want hang themselves upside down chahbahar cannot b used against Pakistan due to various reason. I did not believe any of this propaganda but it was the Indian media/officials who were doing the "feeding".

I appreciate the new toned down version and the swallowing of pride but Iran is heavily sanctioned so Europe won't be using the corridor.

I almost feel like digging up the old Chabahar discussions where we were promised the moon and if memory serves right, there was even talk of "a new Iran-Russia-India axis" against Pak.

Do not trust in Pakistani Media with this and you have Iranian Counsel General with you to ask by mail etc way of correspondence. How can one reject a news quoting directly Iranian Official.

Rest about statement by Iranian officials; was must and needed in these times. Don't tell me Kulbhashan was not running a shop in Chabahar Port. Seriously, things are now being considered more than money alone. The geo politics in the region are changing rapidly. This is not about merely Chabahar Port alone but more of security issue of the region especially since ISIS rising in Afghanistan. Pakistan & Iran, both are well aware of situation happening and rising close to our Borders for which India has no concern or relation at all. Pakistan has no concern nor any issue with any economic development be it Iran or any other regional country but when it comes to the aim and agendas more of national security, sovereign nations do feel as such and highlight the matters to friendly countries/nations. Chabahar is not merely an economic interest for India but it is more of an affair like Indian role in Afghanistan granted by US against terms & rules that mostly Nikky Haley expressed in his speech in regards to Pakistan and other countries.

naa i am a Proud Pakistani but i know Iranian nature very well. yeaaa it is is interesting for you because there is no gas pipeline and they r working with u but it is also interesting to c that they dont want indians to run around chahbahar and disturb their brotherly nation whom ditched their gas pipeline .
