Tehran, Moscow to Work Jointly on Making Warplanes: Iran’s DM

My guess, by "joint development" they implying delivery "assemble kits" of fighter jets to Iran to avoid UN arms embargo which is will be fully lifted only in 2020.
Before this date, every arms delivery to Iran should be approved by UN and guess the delivery of modern fighter jets to Iran will be blocked by USA.

but if assembling will be on Iran territory it could be considered as domestic and therefore not violate international law :D

aren't components that could be used for development of military equipment also banned?

Well, yeah. But as far i know, iran not under fully UN embargo, but under some "special regime" of arms delivery.

Anyway, we'll know most parts of deal till the end of this year.

Then, the Debka news was not wrong about the whole story, they were wrong about the number of ordered Aircrafts.

Yes, they were only off about 95 units of LARGE CARGO PLANES, but that's okay. Like their other statement a few years back how Iran was going to order 250 su-27s. Very reliable source.

Even the Iranian DM is not a 100% reliable source let alone Debka aka Israeli Onion!

This is very good news. Anything like Su-35, Mig-35 will be a huge boost to Iranian airforce. Now, if they will indeed cooperate on developing joint fighter jet, perhaps Iran could join the PAK-FA project? Or perhaps a completely new 5th fighter plane developed by Mig. I don't want to talk about safagh as that fighter is too light. But nontheless, it would still be good to see it go into production for training and light attack missions. We will see what becomes of the Borhan project which seemed to be the continuation of shafagh. Perhaps Iran can go ahead with Borhan without Russian help.

But in any case, Iran being able to manufacture the planes inside its soil and being given TOT will be a great achievement. Lets hope that happens. I think the defence ministry will take the procurement of new fighter jets very seriously.

They were right about purchasing the plane, but they pulled out number from their ***(maybe because they did not know about the exact number), exactly like how you did so in this very post. No official numbers are announced.
PS. Please don't share your racist sentiments with me. I am not interested.

Russians want to suck Persian Gulf Arabs money and use this as another card ...

Debka claimed that Iran wants to buy 100 Il-78 aerial refueling tankers, it's much different than buying few airlifting cargo plane. Also, even this news is not 100% confirmed.

What racists sentiments? In that statement? And, no, RMI, they didn't pull that number 250 out of their *** because 'maybe they didn't know the exact number'. Either you are anti-Iran, or you know DAMN well that only VERY LARGE air forces can have 250 top line fighter jets, not Iran with it's pre historic air force. It's called fear mongering. Either you accept that, or you're anti-Iran. Even though you're a good guy. 250.. MY ***.

You are not an Iranian, and you are in no position to tell me whether I or anyone else is pro or anti-Iran. So, know your place.
About racism, you very well know what I am talking about. If you want to find a way to express your anti-semitic sentiments, do not bark them at me. I am not interested to read your non-senses.

Listen, if you deny Debka is a fear mongering propaganda site, you hate Iran. Now keep walking.

Keep your non-senses for your friends, and don't keep my alerts busy. Do you have mental capacity to understand this simple thing or you are as dumb as your countrymen? Kindly, STFU.
