Technocratic set-up installed for an indefinite period of time

You are correct about Mao's disastrous economic/social policies but so is the guy you have quoted. Great leaders who rule for decades often leave behind a mixed bag. Same can also be said about Stalin despite all the bad press he gets.
so whose the great leader of Israel then, that led them to dominate the ME and US politics? Leaders are overrated, if the populace is sufficiently high in IQ they will self organize and outcompete.
Denmark has been able to stop the flow of oceanwater from consuming its land for hundreds of years, there was no leader that told them what to do, they just did what was an effective solution. And if the populace is dumb, the best leader cant do anything.

Pakstani's are very smart, but in dumb ways.

Can't disagree with you about the 'education' factor.

I still think leaders like Mao and Stalin were overall better for their countries, respectively, if you factor in where Russia/USSR was in 1918 and where China was in 1949. Heck, even India eventually benefited from the stability provided by the Nehru rule despite the 'Hindu Rate of Growth' and Bangladesh is enjoying the benefits after the Haseena-Khalida music chair ended.

It is not some 'rocket science' to know that countries which are suffering are so because of instability: The greatest danger to a country is not 'corruption' but is the chaos and violence because the ruling classes are not able to manage power transitions. That has been my message in this forum for a long long time. There maybe exceptions here and there (like Sri Lanka, Greece) to that very personal conclusion I have arrived at but on the whole I believe that to be true.

Shit i mean lanat on Pakistan aka Pak shit Establishment literally made pakistan a shithole for everyone (in and out Pakistanis). Pak estb is curse on Pakistan

Good leadership is critical. China was mired in poverty till Deng Xiaoping came along and buried Maoism with his color of the cat doesn't matter metaphor. India was stuck in neutral till Narasimha Rao and Manmohan Singh were willing to untie the shackles of socialism. However, the importance of the Bell Curve can't be overstated.

Dude as a leader who got them independence yes, he was successful in that but as a leader he was a disaster. His economic policies were a disaster his social policies led to death of millions of Chinese in most gruesome ways. It was the leader who followed Mao changed the game for China and China is the economic and military power which we see today due to him.

China would still be a feudal society like Pakistan if it wasn’t for Mao. That leader became a leader because of Mao. Deng Xiaoping & company could only build a beautiful garden because Mao cleared a jungle for them.

Well put by both of you!!

Mao got the independence after that Mao destroyed everything. Even if you ask Chinese, they give all credit to Deng Xiaping. Mao actions got millions of Chinese dead.

That right there was a bigger achievement of Mao than winning independence. Had he not destroyed all that, Deng Xiaoping would have nothing to build upon.

Off course they do,

The meek & docile because they fail to grasp the enormity of corruption & decay in Chinese society that Mao destroyed.

&

The wise & self aware because they know what they have right now is far too good to be destroyed.

Neither of them want to encourage another Mao for self/societal preservation.

Another point is that China recognizes that it lost in history and refers to the period where they were ruled by imperialists as the "Century of Humiliation".

They teach this to their children and broader society as a whole to ensure and remind everyone who they are, what their mission is, and why they are going in the direction they are going.

Meanwhile in Pakistan, you have faujeets who do mental gymnastics about the wars that were lost, trying to make them into victories.

Faujeets make excuses for their failures while the ones in Russia and China don't. Humility and self admission along with criticism is a key to success. If someone is not willing to take accountability then that person will never be successful

Chinese, Russians, Iranians & other nations do that because their leadership identifies itself with their populace. It wasn’t always like this but then the populace rose up & humbled their rulers.

Company sepoys & their associated Elite would continue with this mindset until they are humbled too. 1971 would have served that purpose had East Pakistan not turned in to Bangladesh. Balance of Power would have shifted a lot more towards the Civilian side but not entirely either. ( I believe it’s a better state of affairs when power isn’t exclusive to one segment of society )

Probably the one good thing you've said out of a sea of useless trolling comments

I disagree, PTI has the highest vote bank among the voters that make up the majority of Pakistan population namely the under 30s. It is not inconceivable that Imran would win 2/3 if the election were allowed to be free and impartial.
Last few weeks polls have drastically shifted, so I concede yes it's possible like 1997

However, establishment have buried Imran Khan and he will only be seen next time like this in 2029
