I get discipline in our part of the world is different to what kids in the west see...but, this is child abuse.

She is in no way allowed to slap students like this.These are the reasons due to which students suffer of school phobia and they loose their confidence.Students enjoy fresh teachers and frank environment more than anything else.In order to maintain discipline, keeping them engaged in various tasks makes things easy.
She should be either terminated or sent to any training center. She does not know basics of teaching ethics!

I dont agree with the high number of slaps. The teacher went excessive. The school should dismiss her

Having said that 1 or 2 slaps from the teacher of parents if the kids misbehave is OK and neccesary. We certainly dont want to ape the west where they are not allowed to slap and then the kids get out of control with drug use and 12-13 year olds getting pregnant and late night rave parties

BTW I have heard a story. There was this Indian family in the US. One day the father slapped his son for something. The Son complained to child services and the Father was called there and he had to pay some fine or punishment. Soon after that they booked ticket to India. The family landed at Delhi Airport and cleared the custom. Then the Father turned to the son and De Chapaad
