The later periods of Ottoman was truly filled with corruption and bad government. Ataturk introduced a secular Turkey and indeed he emphasized in Industry and reform. But the reason as to why Turkey has been unable to develop in the real direction is because of the rift between later corrupted secularist who were with all their might trying to keep down islamic forces and muslims. But thanks God we are getting rid of corruption and finding the real culprits behind the ones who made coups and halted the development for decades.

No force is strong enough to stop Muslims.

Again... Simply ridiculus propaganda... After one party system, Turkey never ruled by CHP goverment... Sometimes CHP had ministers in goverment but never strong one...

Turkey's recent success has nothing to do with Islam or Secularism... It is just AKP was more honest and more liberal than others parties that came after Mustafa Kemal.

Keeping aside the rampant ignorance and absurdity in every post of yours, I couldn't stay silent with this.

Your model of atheist nation states have not even completed 100 years. Most Muslim nations follow your model of separating religion from constitution yet already they are in a miserable condition today. The Islamic model of Caliphate has worked for 1000+ years and guaranteed Muslims prosperity and safety within their homeland.

S-19,

I challenge you in this issue. You talked about safety of Muslims, Caliphates.

What about Jelali revolts, murder of Turks under Ottoman Rule?

What about persecution of Sunnis under Safavids?

What about fatwas about killing Sufis, example Hallaci Mansur?

. . .
Are you kidding me? Do you ahve any idea about politics in Turkey? After Ismet Inonu, CHP didn't won one elections... Turkey was always ruled by Right wing goverments... What kind of joke are you? and ,n the times of the real secularists = Mustafa Kemal, Turkey was the fastest growing economy of the world... We even exported fighter planes to Holland... What kind of propaganda did you go trough? With Japan, US and Canada Turkey was the only country that stayed free from emperial claws of Europe...

This is ridiculus... Being protestant did not effect anything other than creating an environment that made it easy to seperate church and state and improved education... Not because it created a more devout people but it created more free and less radical people...

Tukey's most succesfull bussiness man is from Ankara not from Kayseri...

Yet another post full of dramatical errors. Sorry i can't stand your ignorance, that is why i feel the need to correct every single thing you write.

After the foundation of the republic in 1923 for about next ten years Turkey experienced process of secular Westernization through ataturks reforms. These are his major reforms:
March 3, 1924 Abolition of the office of Caliphate held by the Ottoman Caliphate.
November 25, 1925 Change of headgear and dress
November 30, 1925 Closure of religious convents and dervish lodges.
March 1, 1926 Introduction of the new penal law.
October 4, 1926 Introduction of the new civil code.
November 1, 1928 Adoption of the new Turkish alphabet
June 21, 1934 Law on family names.
November 26, 1934 Abolition of titles and by-names.
December 5, 1934 Full political rights, to vote and be elected, to women.
February 5, 1937 The inclusion of the principle of laïcité in the constitution.

And Kemals single party period ended in 1946. And the real multi-party period started with Adnan Menderes . He relaxed the restrictions on Islam and presid over a booming economy. In 1960, General Cemal Gürsel led a military coup d'état removing President Celal Bayar and Prime Minister Menderes, the second of whom was executed. The system returned to civilian control in October 1961. The political system that emerged in the wake of the 1960 coup was a fractured one, producing a series of unstable government coalitions in parliament alternating between the Justice Party of Süleyman Demirel and the Republican People's Party of İsmet İnönü and Bülent Ecevit on the left.
The army gave a memorandum warning the civilian government in 1971, leading to another coup which resulted in the fall of the Demirel government and the establishment of interim governments.
A military coup d'état, headed by General Kenan Evren, took place in 1980. Martial law was extended from 20 to all then existing 67 provinces of Turkey. Within two years, the military returned the government to civilian hands, although retaining close control of the political scene. The political system came under one-party governance under Turgut Özal's Motherland Party (ANAP), which combined a globally oriented economic program with conservative islamic social values. Under Özal, the economy boomed, converting towns like Gaziantep from small provincial capitals into mid-sized economic boomtowns. Military rule began to be phased out at the end of 1983.
In 1997, the military, citing his government's support for religious policies deemed dangerous to Turkey's secular nature, sent a memorandum to Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan requesting that he resign, which he did. This was named a postmodern coup.

And after the economic crisis during Ecevits term AKP came to power even though Erdogan was jailed by the same military.

Now tell me, during whose time did Turkey see daylight? It was always during conservative muslim people that Turkey actually experienced economic and social boom and during the leftist governments who only fed their own pockets Turkey experienced harsh times and disaster. If we have to look at Turkey the solution is pretty easy. Conservative parties are the most honest and best at economy when it comes to state affairs. Whereas kemalists/secularists are like blood-sucking parasites.
Menderes, Özal and Erdogan what is the common denominator = conservative Muslims.

And about the Mustafa Kemal's period. I never read or founf any information that is free of bias that showed any significant growth.

dear Turkish forum members!

zulkarneyn, selim and forummurat are unfortunately just some trolls who has nothing to contribute to our Turkey's defence section! and as seen many times the only way for them to exist here is just giving names to other members or insults....

don't feed the trolls..... just IGNORE...they have nothing to say!

People can judge for themselves. You neither have the manner nor the capacity to discuss. Just get lost, if you don't have any valuable input.

As far as I am concerned, deno/quasar/mehmetcc are the ones who only thanks themselves, while the names you mention got thanks from all the other people except you three kemalists. I guess you are the trolls who fled from caves.

.
yes i can.

Kenan Evren
Ismet Inönü
Süleyman Demirel
Those names are not Kemalists. Ismet İnönü want to replace Atatürk. He print his face to the Lira. And the others did much trouble to Mustafa Kemal's party.

How can they be Kemalists?

All three of the names are strong kemalists. Denying that won't get you far.

Edit: just to make you aware, i initially called them secularist. But they are kemalists as well. AT least if you listen to them you would think they were.

Again, ridiculus post...

CHP ruled Turkey only for a ten month after one party system... Can you please explain to me how the corruption done under right wing goverments is CHP's fault?

yes i can.

Kenan Evren
Ismet Inönü
Süleyman Demirel

Wow.... Just wow.... I cannot imagine the propaganda you went trough to link Kenan Evren ( A member of Gladio ) Ismet Inonu ( A guy who tried to replace Mustafa Kemal ) and Suleyman Demirel ( A power hungry politican ) to Mustafa Kemal...

All three of the names are strong kemalists. Denying that won't get you far.

Edit: just to make you aware, i initially called them secularist. But they are kemalists as well. AT least if you listen to them you would think they were.

Look, here you victim of religios propaganda and hate...

Every secular person is not a Kemalist... Kemalist literally means the one who believe in, Nationalism, Statehood, Republic, National sovereignty, Secularism, Revolution...

Stalin believed in Secularism... I had no idea Stalin was a Kemalist...
