I know they should not protest like this but having a couple of friends who drive black cabs in londonand taxi In my local borough.Uber is killing their trade.I live in the Medway towns uber are registered by transport for London why have we got them picking up punters here when they not allowed breaking all the rules undercutting local firms.

Uber herself doesnt drive. Ultimately people get the benefit. So, it better to get upgraded and be the part of new order.

They also need to change their ancient cars. Otoh i have heard a lot of bad things about uber & careem theft, attempt to kidnap and even murder yep you heard that right

at least you can jump out and run away from this thing^

A lot of my female class fellows travel daily by careem and uber all they complain about are surge rates nothing more

Its called competition ............. but their mehran taxi mentality won't understand / realise this. I think they have this option of getting their taxis registered with careem?

However, it is yet to be seen if Uber, Careem, ARY sahoolat car etc would remain cheap after wiping out the mehran taxis.

Car has to meet certain criteria to register with these services. Like car must have a properly working Ac or car can't be older than 5 years etc.which their khatars can't meet hence the frustration.
Ps I think these services don't accept mehrans no matter the model as i have yet to see a mehran driving uber driver

Competition is good but uber breaks the strict licensing laws we have in the UK.When they pick up passengers in a area they not licenced to the passengers are not insured if they have a injury in a accident.My friend that drives a black cab in london spent 4 years learning the knowledge he gas to have police cheaks and medicals done every few years.He don't mind competition he said they had competition from mini cabs for years it's the illegal way uber operates.Only a few months ago a uber driver was fined for illegal pick up in redding were the council refused uber a licence.The same is happening in my area were uber don't have a licence but still operate illegally which uber aware of because they take payment first

uber, ola, ogo are so cheap in my city.I wish those ugly autos rickshaws to just disappear.
