TATTOO,a reason for rejecting visa in UAE??

Hello everyone,

For sometime now I've been thinking of getting a tiny tattoo done on my wrist. But it's banned in the country(UAE) that I live in...or so I heard.
True???
Recently I heard that a guy(Indian) who had got a job offer in UAE was denied visa as he had a tattoo on his shoulder...this I heard from a reliable source. His tatoo was NOT a religious symbol or offensive in any other way.

I have often seen ppl flaunting their tatoos in UAE, so am baffled why would the authorities bar anyone from entering UAE merely because of his/her tattoo ?

Since am in India now, I thought I would get one done before returning to UAE. I will have to wait for another one year(when I return to India) if I don't get it done now. So that's one reason I decided to post this thread.

I hope members here will be able to help me.

Why would would you want to get in trouble? These arab lands are retarded.
Sometimes they'll lock you up and deport if they see you kissing in public or holding hands.....sometimes they won't
Generally they are more racist towards the desis than the whites.

Model Ayan Ali has tattoos but she visit dubai regularly

Because she brings business.

Right.
It so happened that while I had gone to visit Grand Mosque in Abudhabi, a family asked me to click their pic(must be 3-4 families) and since all of them did not fit in the frame, I asked 'em to stand closer. Just as I was about to click the pic, the security came rushing towards us and asked the wives not to stand close to their husbands(none of 'em were holding hands).
Frankly...I was shocked. I did not see the need to disperse them.

Right again!!
Indian/Pakistani schools have a few compulsory subjects like Arabic. No coeducation (only till grade 6).
But the same rules don't apply on British and American schools.
I respect their religious sentiments but discrimination is evident.

Sorry??
