A hit & run means fleeing from the crime scene. if the driver stoped for a second or two you can see who is inside , car tints are banned in India so you can clearly see who's inside ( if they stopped or slowdown)

they could have attacked them in general mistaken identity , what are the chances of seeing a group of 3 Chinese looking girls twice in one day in middle of south India at night , exactly where the crime took place .maybe they recognized them by their cloths, or had similar cloths as the women in the car had .
