TANVIR MURDER - Father, Ivy point finger at Shamim Osman
Our Correspondent . Narayanganj

The mayor of Narayanganj, Selina Hayat Ivy, at a rally on on Friday evening accused Awami League leader Shamim Osman of killing schoolboy Tanvir Mohammad Towki.
‘If you are brave, then kill me,’ Selina said referring to her political rival AKM Shamim Osman, also a former lawmaker, on the last of the five-day demonstrations the Sammilita Sangskritik Jote held at the Chashara Shaheed Minar.

Tanvir Mohammad Towki, 17, a A-level student of the ABC International School in the city, was found dead on March 8 after he had gone missing on March 6. The killing triggered a protest in the district.

Tanvir was son of Rafiur Rabbi, vice-president of district unit Nagarik Committee, former president of Sammilita Sangskritik Jote and convener of Ganajagaran Mancha, set up at the call of Shahbagh protesters.

Selina called Shamim a ‘coward’ ‘for killing Towki.’ She said that Shamim’s family had migrated to Narayanganj from Daudkandi in Comilla. ‘If you want to lead the party, then go to Comilla. We, residents of Narayanganj, will lead our city,’ she said.

Selina Hayat said that Shamim had always patronised ‘terrorists’ and ‘seized Narayanganj people with terrorism.’She alleged that the gang of Shamim used to leave the country when the Awami League faced a crucial moment and the gang reappeared when the Awami League ran the government.

‘We have been suffering thirty years of Shamim Osman’s terrorism. We no longer want to tolerate this. Together, we will prevent and eliminate terrorists from Narayanagnj,’ she said.

Rafiur Rabbi also blamed three brothers of Shamim Osman and said one of the three brothers had given shelter to the killers and sent them abroad.

‘Another of the three brothers had met the home minister where the minister asked him not to talk too much on the issue,’ Rafiur said. ‘In reply, he [Shamim’s brother] told the minister that that there would be uproar for two to three days and everything would then settle down.’

‘There is a torture cell in the city run by the three brothers where people are tortured every night but the police cannot find anything.’ Rabbi said.

AB Siddik, president of district unit Nagarik committee, presided over the rally. Asked for comments about the accusations, Shamim on Friday told New Age, ‘I will not say anything about the matter today. I will rather talk tomorrow.’

Looks like RAWAMI terrorists killed a clueless Shahbagi simply to try to blame Jamat for it, but unfortunately got caught red handed. Bangladesh is a small place teeming with people and its very hard to hide misdeeds.

I would call our country men to ban this terrorist party called Awami League, supported by a neighbor terrorist nation.

. .
. .

Banning any political party is anti-democratic. What Bangladeshi's should do is apply the law on terrorism, killings and connection to foreign intelligence agency on individual members of AL as well as other political parties. If these laws are applied properly, most members of AL will be in jail or escape to neighbor country. Exposing AL terror activities should also be priority for a badly needed new unbiased media force. Bangladeshi's should stop buying any biased newspaper, stop watching biased TV channels and stop visiting biased news web sites and only support unbiased media that expose terror activities regardless of party affiliations.

.
@ Thanks God ! This time Jamaat is saved in Narranganj ?????

Wait..Are you sure Shamim Usman's brother-in-law's son-in-law is not a Jamaati?

Btw, if BNP forms govt next time they should sue such killings resulting from BAL infightings..kata diye kata tola. But maybe this is asking too much from braindead BNPwallas.

Who will bell the cat..!!?? Did BNP learn their lessons??

. .
We should not just depend on BNP, all concerned Bangladeshi's need to come forward, specially businessman with means and educated people concerned about their country's future.

If only Internet can make a difference. Otherwise there are reasons to turn into a pessimist.

Ivy khala o Awami League kore.

Anyone who has proof should come forward with it. Whoever is responsible should be punished . . . . be it a jamat member or an ALger.

EDIT: I believe jamat shibir did it so that everyone points finger at Shamim Osman.

Why?

Because of this-

Towki's dad unknowingly fell into Jamat's trap.
