Probably are Marathis and Goans rather than Tamils (looks aren't that different from Tamils). But, I've heard there are thousands of Malayalis(Malabari) in Karachi whom lost their roots and language and are assimilated into Mohajir identity. In India, Malayalis and UPwale are like coming from 2 different countries when it comes to cultural differences. But, there they got assimilated into as Mohajar may be to save from the ethnic politics in that region.

Well, Madrasi is unacceptable slang in India ...equal to that of someone from Pakistan being called a p*ki....

Part of my family is from Madras and and call themselves "Madrasi" but then again they are not in India so I guess its used in a different context in India now.

Karachi is called mini Pakistan. where you can find every community. but unfortunately no one seriously want to take the ownership of Karachi. political parties keep on fighting to each other by ignoring the people of karachi.

after census, Karachi would be the 2nd or 3rd largest city of the world by population. i bet you only Karachi has 2.5 crore population or more. (if there will be crystal clear census)
