I agree with you, and i think GoI also agrees to this view...... There was no mention of Pakistan directly by Modi in his statement, he did not gave a hint also...... Secondly Lot of seriousness has been shown by GoP on this attack, and I hope both look at the intent and work towards peace.... Cancelling peace talks would be giving into the hands of those who want to derail the peace process......

This type of rhetoric by the Indian media is extremely off-putting and dangerous.Their actions are capable of impacting governmental responses as politicians will do as they are expected to do so by their voters. Voters, whose minds have been infected by the gibberish the media churns out. In a bid to create sensational headlines to sell their ribbon-tied rubbish, they will make up anything they can and print it. Media standards should be enforced as they could have a wide-ranging impact affecting national security.
Both governments are handling this entire affair with maturity and professionalism. However, if the Pakistani public falls for this "news" bit, opposition parties can build pressure and exploit this opportunity to paint the government as meek and corrupt.

If seriousness is at par with Musharraf level,then talks can move forward.

If seriousness is only limited to condemnation and asking more evidence just like in Mumbai attack 2008,talks can not move forward . India would wait till a government in Pak will come that can deliver on it's promises.There is no point of giving concession and taking concession from a weak government.

Lets say you are agreeing, in that case once you have phone numbers it should be not hard for someone to make progress in investigation. Like 26/11 where there was enough leads Pakistan's seriousness will be shown by progress. In other friendly countries simple clue is taken to conclusion. Pakistan showed no progress in 26/11 and I will doubt any progress will be made here too. Maybe some small pawns will be arrested temporarily to show progress but then sent free later. There will be agreement that inside jail we will make all arrangement for you like sex, take 20 lacs and pretend to say inside for sometime. Once the focus is reduced we will take you out. Like they did with Lakhwi. They deliberately makes sure that the court cases go slow and no such evidence is recorded that will make difficult to exit later.
