The Taliban are part of Afghanistan and representative of a considerable portion of the population
The combination actions of the USA and NATO couldn't dislodge them
This is because they have support at a people level especially amongst Pashtuns
They also have no desire or intention of any action or attack outside Afghanistan
They are part of Afghanistan snd thus must be sought out as part of negotiations to bring peace to Afghanistan
Pakistan tried its utmost to support this, it was the afghans themselves who messed up the negotiations
In the meantime their continued hostility to Pakistan combined with their support to indian actions have made it impossible for Pakistan to support Afghan government, they along with india are seen as an enemy and we no nation or strategic reason to help thrm defeat the Taliban
Afghanistan will collapse against the Taliban, their best bet is negotiations, requesting Pakistan for help and pushing india completely out by understanding Pakistan's security threats and concerns
I guess Pakistan won't be satisfied, until they can send a viceroy to govern Afghanistan.
So why would Afghanistan be against Pakistan influence?
