Russia and US are bombing ISIS as far as I remember they didn't deploy ground force against them.
While in Afghanistan taliban has to fight ANA which is no outside force and have lot of helps from NATO.
You have half information.. In afghanistan US is just playing game..in fact they are supporting ISIS...Recently RUSSIA along with Syrian troop is destroying them..
In Afghanistan there are many taliban fighter in ANA itself..They already defeated US and NATO..

It has happened irrevocably. Their last stronghold giving up in 1890 in Kafiristan.

Arabs have not won a war in a long time. Unless you want to count Hezbollah's victory against Israel in 2008, but that is a militia not a country. You couldn't even defeat Israel at its weakest in 1947 despite having 5 Arab states attacking them.

First of all it is not a hypothetical scenario, since it is already happening and ISIS and TTP are fighting each other in Afghanistan. Despite all their support from top agencies like RAW, Mossad and CIA and the wealth, they are outsiders and it is the history of Afghanistan that intruders and invaders ultimately lost and left defeated whether it was rogue USSR or arrogant USA so I predict Taliban will defeat ISIS finally. And if it down to selecting between Taliban and ISIS, I will pick Taliban 24x7.
How can you miss x-men?

Arab ideology will prevail. Pashtun traditions have a local appeal only. Even many from the Pashtuns will readily support the Arab ideology over Pashtun bonds. The Pashtuns are already defeated permanently.

Just a fun hypothetical who would win a war if these two organizations fought one another. Vote and state your reasons why.

Things to consider: combat experience, weaponry, manpower, terrain, leadership, money.

Since ISIS is in Iraq/Syria and Taliban is in Afghanistan lets say we drop them off in Iran, a happy medium in between for the hypothetical war to take place.

My vote is for the Taliban. Taliban is a much larger organization with much more manpower than ISIS (according to CIA ISIS has up to 31,500 ISIS fighters.) Taliban easily has more than double that number. Taliban have far more war and combat experience they also seem more resilient. Taliban leadership seems to be more strategic than ISIS leadership.

Only thing going for ISIS is they are the wealthiest militant organization. They probably have better weapons than Taliban, but better weaponry hasn't stopped the Taliban before as proven by history.

My worry is that Taliban has some political wing which can even be negotiated and it is highly local in nature around Afganistan...But ISIS is looking like an idea...something like AL QEDA....It is easier to decimate an orgnaization but difficult to crush an idea...So to crush an idea, you have to fight on the basis of ideas and thoughts...By bombing ISIS area in Iraq or anywhere is simply making them more strong and that is what exactly they like to it happen...So that they can play victim card in front of the people and can expand their thoughts....That is really worrisome..

ISIS and TALIBAN Both are ANTI SHIA? AND SHIA DONT HAVE ANY EXTREMIST GROUP.

No...Except Hamas who are fighting their idelogical war with Isreal, I do not think Shias in general are not so violent in nature like others sect people...I may be wrong..But this is my general impression...

"The Islamic State group had ambitious plans for Afghanistan, but Taliban resistance, US drone strikes, and a society less scarred by sectarianism mean the extremists have so far failed to repeat their Middle Eastern breakthrough.

...Crucially, beyond the battlefield the Taliban have been far more successful than Isis in attracting the support of local Afghans.

Isis struggle to make progress in Taliban bastion Afghanistan - The Malaysian Insider"

ISIS branch in Afghanistan is being defeated and local Afghans largely oppose it.

ISIS showed in Taliban bastion and the fight is on, Taliban can not even show up in Arab land. The reasons are ideological. Taliban strength comes from local ideology, ISIS from global.

Taliban is nationalistic and has no global agenda hence they make no effort outside their borders. ISIS will self-destruct because they will eat their own in addition to the bombings being carried out against them. ISIS can't even defeat Pres. Assad and the Syrian army, despite its large revenues and resources. Their revenue sources are also being targeted.
