"Taliban say the move will not even satisfy American population.

Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has welcomed the US pullout plan but Taliban have termed President Obama’s declaration of 10,000 troops cut this year as an eye-wash.

In a message released for the media, the Afghan Taliban leadership said that it was an eye-wash which could not even satisfy the American population.

The Taliban leadership also rejected the process of peace talks amid gradual pullout of US troops from Afghanistan. "

usa is trying to get out of there as fast they can, i dont think that they can afford ten more years.

it is not about how long america or taliban can afford this war , it is about those innocent civlians living in those troubled region's , can they afford it any more , everyday a civilian falls as a victim to the american or talibani bullets or attack's , thus it is very much important that this meaningless war should end , peace should be restored.

And how ? By inviting Taliban back to establish rule again ?

Best to stay calm and silent about it , America is Pakistan's ally...it is more with Afghan Freedom than anything else.

Taliban and Afghan need to stay in peace unlike western countries who celebrate victories may it be Sadam Hussain, or OBL or so many otherss.....

Finally someone accepts that you guys are taliban supporters. May some day TTP come to power so that you realize what you guys supported and wished for the Afghans.

Some people really make me feel that they should actually be governed by Taliban. They are their best solution.

Afghan Taliban dismiss ‘symbolic’ US troop announcement

KABUL: The Taliban dismissed President Barack Obama’s announcement of US troop withdrawals from Afghanistan as “only as a symbolic step,” in a statement released Thursday.

The Taliban “consider this announcement, which currently withdraws 10,000 soldiers this year, only as a symbolic step which will never satisfy the war-weary international community or the American people,” it said.

The statement, emailed to media by Taliban spokesman Tariq Ghazniwal, also accused the United States of “repeatedly giving false hopes to its nation about ending this war and claiming baselessly about victory”.

The Taliban said the solution to the Afghan crisis “lies in the full withdrawal of all foreign troops immediately” and said that until that happened “our armed struggle will increase from day to day”.

It made no reference to contacts with the Americans. Afghan president Hamid Karzai announced last week talks were underway and US Defence Secretary Robert Gates has said US officials are involved in preliminary talks with the Taliban.

The militants accused Obama of having “no respect” for demands to end the war given US-Afghan government negotiations over a strategic partnership agreement which will forge a long-term relationship between the two.

Obama announced Wednesday that 10,000 US troops would leave Afghanistan this year and all 33,000 forces sent as part of a surge ordered in late 2009 would be home by next summer.

As he made the announcement, he said that “the tide of war is receding” and “the light of a secure peace can be seen in the distance.”

The Taliban are leading an insurgency against foreign troops in Afghanistan which started in 2001 when they were ousted from power by a US-led invasion.

.
Good or bad you should go and ask UN why they have excluded them from blacklist and why US has accepted them for future set up.

Oh lost all moral highground of global muslim brotherhood with just a kick on the back.... and Pakistan also resorted to the policies of selfish interests.:lol:
