Taliban Pulled From Medal of Honor Game

That's so awkward. Sitting in your living room with your friend killing your own people. :/

"Look ma!, i'm killing the marines as the taliban!" LOL

Freedom of speech anybody? If you don't like to play Taliban then don't play, but don't presume others don't want to. From the start there was no opposition by people who play games, but external pressure, by people who have no idea what computer games are, forced this minor change. If target market segment doesn't like it they will let the company get the message by not buying.

Same as the protests in Germany about the game where you can play a border guard and shoot people escaping.

You dont hold protests at funerals, abuse soldiers at returning home marches or pretend to be some scum shooting at troops from you own country even in a game there is a minimum of respect people who risk their lives to serve deserve, this i feel falls outside it.

For those that think its just a game , we can create games to offend any one if fairs fair and it all just a game how about one called Graffiti Kabul where the aim is to deface as many walls as possible with caricatures of the Prophet before the mob tears you apart?

In Batlefiled 2 you can be a Iraqi and fight US, that Game should be ban too.

The game was not made by any Muslim country but by a western company , We all play high tech games which can only be made in west.

Ever played Counter Strike? Now lets take out the "Terrorists" team and see how much fun we can have in multi player games. Or would you rather that CT fight against another CT team. If taking out the bad guys is necessary, they might as well not make the game in the first place.

Also, either you follow American version of free speech i.e. completely unhindered, or you follow a milder version tempered with hate laws. Frankly I'll be in favor of the later provided if it gives protection to all groups. Until then this talk is nonsense.

Beyond the point. If you can kill Arabs or Russian Soldiers (Cod6) then why not Americans?Hypocrisy i think runs high among some members.

There are many games where you can play as Soviets, etc and fight NATO. However, the reason why you cannot do it in COD is because America makes these games, America buys these games, and Americans dont enjoy killing themselves. If you wanna play, play it or keep quiet. When Pakistan develops games you will surely get what you want.

btw, in many missions in various FPS you can kill/American soldiers are killed, but not by terrorists.

In GTA IV you can literally go around unleashing havoc inside the heart of USA, slaughtering American civilians, police personnel and military personnel, bombing American monuments including the statue of liberty, while playing as a Russian immigrant. Ignorance is bliss.

The "Terrorist Teams" are still there, but they are not named Taliban anymore. They are now named "Opposing Force". Anyway, CT is ancient. Terrorism was not such a huge global issue when CT was made, and CT does not have the same impact as COD or MoH games.
