I just don't understand how come provincial capitals (not even one but several) of a country are under this much pressure and siege. It is extreme form of humiliation for Afghanistan if you ask me.

Khaama Press.

Local officials in Baghlan have said the helicopter was shot as it was trying to provide logistics support to the ground forces in Dand-e-Ghori, close to the provincial capital of Pul-e-Khumri city.

The officials further added that the check post to which the helicopter was trying to deliver weapons is under siege, by the Taliban insurgents.

There are no exact reports regarding the casualties as a result of the incident but preliminary reports suggest, at least all those on board the helicopter have lost their lives.

Baghlan is among the relatively volatile provinces in northern Afghanistan where the Taliban insurgents are actively operating in a number of its districts.

The Taliban militants have intensified attacks on several key nothern provinces, including Baghlan and the strategic Kunduz province during the recent months.

The Afghan forces launched a major operation to clear Dand-e-Ghori from the Taliban presence earlier this year as the group was trying to create safe havens for their spring offensive.

Ghani has one feet in india and another in Kabul, counting days. india should prepare home for their stooge.

Another Banglai clown, probably Jamat Islami member, who are in the run in Bangladesh for being traitors give Afghans a lecturer of on how to defend their country.
Stop being a hypocrite while living the states and cheering for Ashraf Ghani a US ally to fail.

Pathetic.

Bangladesh Jamaat and other major Islamist party in opposition are the only party that won't bend over for India. Also, if your armed forces were so good at defending your "homeland", they wouldn't lose provincial capitals to Talibans who fight wearing sandals.

Stooges can't win wars, that's why Afghanistan is losing to the Taliban. Unfortunately your soldiers are paying the price and not the politicians or top of military.

So basically you condone Jamaat Islamic killing your own countrymen in 1971? Wow I am strapping for this logic :P
Go back to your kitchen dude, stop lecturing us on how we defend our country, I have not seen a single demonstration of Bangladish people condeming when the ex-jamat leaders were hanged recently that shows how popular you are punk.

RIP to the deceased.

I hope the peace and sanity finally returns to Afghanistan. This unfortunate country has suffered enough.

and the same afghans were cheering on downing of pakistani chopper not long ago.
