I believe the actual battle of Kabul will start when Mazar in the west and Jalalabad in the east are taken.

Jalalabad is next to fall, as in the past the Taliban will prefer to take Kabul when it's surrounded from all directions. From Baglan they are approaching Kabul via the Salang tunnel. Heard they have taken few directorates in Panjshehr as well. Mazar is key as Dostum can sabotage the Northern flank. No news of Bamian this time, maybe Taliban will negotiate a ceasefire with the Shia Hazaras there! Paktia, Paktika and Wardak have fallen today. The seize of Maidan Shahar was short-lived as the GOVT dropped commandos there.

Dostum is defanged, the warlord incharge of Mazar is Atta Noor.
