Should we be surprised at the TTP demands? These thugs have been doing this and getting away with it for far too long. Everyone knows that no religion allows threats of death and demands of extortion. Terrorists have been rejected by the vast majority of Pakistanis and their overwhelming support of the on-going operation against the terrorists is a validation of that. We all have to remain united against these enemies of the nation. They should get no leeway form the wrath of the state. The time has come to eliminate the threats that the common person lives under and clean up the few remaining terrorists and their supporters who are trying to regroup and fund themselves through threats and extortion.

Is there much difference between those you call local thugs or those that talk about bringing freedom and democracy but are in reality just there for the natural resources?
