Tax returns can be filed by anyone....even if there's zero taxable income, you can file a tax return to get your withholding taxes back.

You know this is withholding tax and adjustable in your final tax return. The only people who should cry (why?) are the one's who don't file tax returns.

Except that it takes time for you to get back your withholding tax money, yet we get no interest over it....Do consider that as well....

That 30 or 40 or what ever many ruppees out of 100, I could have bought some dahi with it, but due to this withholding tax, I'll have to keep on buying it from subsequent months' budgets till I get the first tax refund. You can say it increases my "household operating capital requirements".
