Taiwan’s shrinking population forces government to woo overseas talent, retrain workers

Maths Olympiad results did correlates with the number of field medalists and for many East Asia nations, a high degree of industrialization.

It was these Asian STEMI graduates that US imported that sustained US bankrupt basic education sector.

That doesn't mean there are not smart skilled Africans in the continent. You will be surprised how many Africans have actually contributed to some of our économies in the West.
Moreover last I checked Thailand is not a developed country either and can't think of anything Thailand actually produces or any contribution they have made to the world to be honest . So what's the point of taking first in math Olympiad? It's just a parameter, it doesn't mean that much.

Africans look bad due to their nations being so...... except for a few but most of them pull down their reputation.

So moral.of the story is that: there are smart people everywhere. However , not all them can shine to their full potential, usually due to the system they find themsleves in as well.
I am advertising our youth to Taiwan, not England,Mike. If I am finding sale point to English people, may be I will say something else. If English buy African good for you. It's irrelavent to my previous post.

Wow that's ridiculous. I'd say the opposite: just open China up for immigration from anyone that meets talent and language requirements like Canada does.

China is an ideological civilization-state, not an ethnic one. If white Tajiks and Russians can be Chinese, then whose to say others can't be.

In my opinion, China is actually more like the USA than many people think. Though you might not think I'd be the one to say it, it can be argued that Chinese are ideologically more Americanized than even some US allies like Japan and South Korea. It's just that Americans aren't used to other people using an American attitude towards them.
I don't think China is ready to open up it's door to or grant permanent residency (or even citizenship) to talented immigrants outside overseas Chinese unlike we have been doing in the West/US. Chinese are different culturally , historically and traditionally from western countries who have always had a more open view of the world and used to interacting/mixing with different cultures around the world from colonial periods to this day. So the West has learn to mix and accept this sort of system as being an integral part of it's growth as well(since to be honest we have benefitted alors from skilled immigrants) which has helped keep the West ahead of any of it's peers.
I don't think China will ever get to that level. Since they are more of an isolationists and traditional society, moroever they are not used to mixing with other races outside that part of Asia. It wasn't until recently that China opened up that they started attracting foreigners travelling to the country as their economy grew. During Mao's time for example, barely anybody even travelled to China. They were like North Korea today.
So it will take a very long time for them to get to a point of getting used to accepting foreigners (whether they are skilled or contributing to the country doesn't matter ) to settle legally in their country or gain residence/citizenship. They are still very new to this game to be honest. I don't see that happening this century. I remember seeing in the news not long ago that the little small reform the CCP wanted to adopt to ease the country's already very strict and drastic immigration policy to attract more skilled immigrants to settled in China was met with such a huge backlash/outcry from the public and even public officials that the party had to quickly abandon such thoughts. Lool

So for a long time to come the West will keep being the favourite destinations for the brightest in the world to emigrate to not China, for obvious reasons . 😁

Should invite some PLA boys to boost the population.
China itself is already in the process of facing the same issue. It's even more troublesome for China, since it's not yet a developed country and is still developing. So the danger is that it might get old before it even gets rich. Unlike say developed countries like Japan and some Western countries who were already developed for a long time before they started facing such issues. So I don't see why you are making fun of this. This is a very serious issue which China will be facing, something which will have drastic effects on it's long term economic future. This makes it even more surprising that the CCP is still persisting with it's useless stupid one child( or now two child policy lol ). They should have scrapped this bullshit genocidal policy decades ago. No governement has the right to decide how many children's it's people should have and even more so force it's people to undergo forced abortions( that in itself is a form of crime against humanity). They have created a demographic and social disaster by THEIR OWN HANDS/POLICY DIRECTLY which will have terrible long term consequences for the country for decades to come.

There exists Smart African, Mike. But allowing some Smart African will open door for mass Flow of African in general.
Look at US ghetto hoods, Mike. What are their common feature? . I don't want to say any further.

This is not a problem - you can always get an indian. Most of them are there to solve exactly these sort of problems :)
Low birth rate in asian countries is due to extremely strong family values and high importance to meritocracy. THis isnt a problem if they can replenish with meritocratic foreigners. But that needs solving xenophobia. The other option is to have people freely marry many times without taboos and take child rearing a bit easy so as not to tax too much on themselves.

West isn't just US, UK, France and Spain. Germany never had a positive colonial experience. They were late to the game and resorted to outright genocide multiple times even before the Nazis, while never making any money on its colonial adventures. They bankrupted Germany before WW1, led to the collapse of the German government after WW1, then led to the total conquest of Germany after WW2. Sweden and Norway never got any colonies, period.

Yet today people think Germany, Sweden and Norway are super tolerant. All it took was 20-30 years of legislation.

One aspect of low fertility nations are lots of woman not marrying. While woman who married have on average close to 2 babies.

I suggest giving bonus points in national exams for law abiding couple who have more babies.
