No Taiwan-China collaboration in South China Sea: official

Taipei, May 3 (CNA) The island groups in the South China Sea are inherent parts of the territory of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and there will be no cooperation between Taiwan and China in the area, Vice Mainland Affairs Minister Liu Te-shun said Thursday.

China has recently desired to enticement Taiwan takes side with China in the East Sea (south china sea) disputes.
Taipei did not hesitate to say "no" with Beijing.

However, about the level of greed and unfounded in the claims of Taiwan and China are the same....

Taiwan will not work with China on South China Sea issues: official

Taipei, May 21 (CNA) It is impossible that Taiwan will cooperate with China on issues related to the disputed South China Sea region at present, an official told lawmakers Monday.

"We will not cooperate with China on such issues at present," National Security Bureau Director-General Tsai De-sheng said, when asked on the possibility of Taiwan-China collaboration to address disputes in the region, which is seeing growing tensions.

How Taiwan should respond to any flare-up in the South China Sea was the focus at the Legislature's Foreign and National Defense Committee meeting, during which Tsai fielded many questions from lawmakers across party lines.

Recent confrontations in the region include an ongoing standoff between China and the Philippines that erupted on April 10 over the Scarborough Shoal off the coast of the Philippines.

Asked by opposition Democratic Progressive Party Legislator Chen Ming-wen on whether Taiwan would help China in the event of conflict in the region, Tsai dismissed such a possibility.

"It is impossible at the moment," Tsai said, adding that Taiwan has advocated that disputes over islands in the South China Sea should be resolved peacefully.

Tsai added that countries such as Vietnam and the Philippines have also asked Taiwan not to cooperate with China on South China Sea issues.

ROC is already dead, so the China sovereignty can only be defended by the current legitimate regime, which is PRC. :coffee:

So what! Mainland can do it alone, we don't need help from taiwan! But if who dare to conflict with taiwan, we will join. But I think viet can't get profit from it, taiwan are much better than viet, they don't need the help from mainland too!!

The relationship between ROC and PRC is none of your viets business
If you dare attack Taiping island controled by ROC, we won't hesitate to send your warships to the bottom of the sea

vietnam belongs to China from long before, since China was busy in civil war, so vietnam was independent and became a nation.
It's illegal action.

No, we don't advocate any use of force to settle disputes.
We will negotiate with Taiwan on the sovereignty of Vietnam's Ba Binh Island.
All disputes in the region can only be solved by peaceful negotiations.
It was signed in the DOC and the upcoming COC.

BTW: A Taiwan strong and independence are in our interests.

You used "Human Waves" to invade our country, but eventually Chinese were defeated by Vietnam. The invasion is only temporary, sooner or later it will be defeated. This is true in both the Paracel Islands and Spratly Islands.

Following the defeat of Japan at the end of World War II, Taiwan re-claimed the entirety of the Spratly Islands (including Taiping Island), accepting the Japanese surrender on the islands based on the Cairo and Potsdam Declarations.

Whether it's the Republic of CHINA or the People's Republic of CHINA, it's still CHINA. There's nothing anyone else can do or say to influence that. Taiwan will return to be part of China one day. It's not a matter of 'if', it's a matter of 'when'.

delusional chini posters :woot:

thinking that RoC will merge with mainland is akin to Gilgit coming under GoI control :woot:

There is no need to let the monkeys know what people is doing.

not delusional at all. The reason why Taiwan rejected PRC advances before was because of money. If you have money, why would you want to join a poor family? When China becomes powerful and prosperous in a couple more years, the people of Taiwan would beg to be part of the union.

Alas, such is the nature of Man. Reject the poor, envy (and want to join) the powerful and rich.

Since you bring delusion into this.... You know what's delusional? Indian national unity. It's impossible. people simply do not identify with other regions. People in Tamil Nadu don't want to pay for people in Bihar. It's simply impossible for people of so many cultural and language differences to accept each other. As long as India is divided amongst ethnic and caste lines, it will be impossible for India to be strong.

Don't drink the western coolaid. India's strength is not its diversity. Diversity (and factionalism) are one of the biggest factors why India is struggling today. Divided, India falls.

No friend, the Cairo and Potsdam Declarations were only assigned to ROC disarming Japanese troops in Indochina (including islands) above the 16th parallel, British-Indian army disarming the Japanese troops from the 16th parallel down. (Indochina = Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia under the French regime)
So in 1945-1946, 200,000 Chiang's troops were dragged into northern Vietnam.

Chiang Kai-shek was only behalf of the Allies to receive the surrender of Japan in that area. It doesn't make sense on sovereignty claims.
(But ROC troops exceeded the prescribed, they crossed 16th parallel, to disarm the Japanese troops in both Paracels and Spratlys)

If following your logic, the Cairo and Potsdam Declarations also recognized North VN of Chiang's sovereignty?

Han chinese invaded illegaly in to Vietnam. Vietnam wiped out all Chinese, they run away from 938 AC.

It is me, the Battle of Bach Dang River (938, 1288).
