China will ignore it if it goes against the whole idea of the sea law, which is to regulate delimitation issues -- more or less a technical task.

No international law on this planet can decide upon sovereignty issues, especially with respect to P5 countries.

China should just withdraw from UNCLOS in response to the unilateral arbitration regarding SCS. and then we will be free like US to do what ever we want.

I agree. UNCLOS has an exit clause. China can withdraw from the UCLOS, settles down sovereignty issues in SCS based on historic titles, and, having full control on the island groups, rejoin the UNCLOS to sort out delimitation issues with related parties.

Less headache. In my opinion, China should have thought of re-taking the invaded rocks and reefs before considering joining the UNCLOS (probably it trusted the articles that limited UNCLOS to delimitation).

But in this world of interstate relations, you can trust nothing really.
