Taiwan asks Philippine response to fisherman killing in 72 hours

Taiwan's leader Ma Ying-jeou vowed to give the Philippines 72 hours to respond to demands regarding the shooting death of a Taiwanese fisherman at sea, or Taiwan will take actions to retaliate.

Ma demanded the Philippines to apologize, clarify the truth and punish people held responsible, offer compensation for the death and the damage to the fishing boat, and start negotiations with Taiwan on a fishery agreement as soon as possible, according to a statement posted on the website of Taiwanese authority.

"If the Philippine government does not make a positive response within 72 hours," Taiwan will freeze on all applications of Philippine laborers, recall its representative to the Philippines and ask the representative of the Philippines in Taipei to leave, the statement said.

Taiwan is thinking about sending F-16s and 3 or more warships in the area if the Philippines government doesn't answer...

The PCG prevented the Taiwanese boat from actually ramming its vessel. The claim of the PCG is that there was an ATTEMPT to ram its vessel and it acted in self-defense. The PCG did not claim that the Taiwanese boat actually rammed its vessel, so how could there be evidence of ramming?

The reason is Taiwanese arrogance and a mindset of impunity. The Taiwanese captain was aping the arrogance and bullying mindset of mainland China. LMAO

Taiwan's Foreign minister ruled out armed conflict. They are just trying to intimidate the Pinoys. So far the Pinoys don't seem to give a flying hoot.

Well its election time here so we don't really give a F about it and beside word are just words if a filipino got hurt its different thing all to together besides malacangang is on it diplomacy is still the best course of action after all once our weapons and equipment arr vied next year we can take them no problem but right now we are defenseless we should try solving this problem diplomatically.
