Tail Choppers to re-equip with JF-17

. .
the data you provide in the given link says that there are total 17+1(naval strike) squadrons in PAF but names of squadrons which sir @Windjammer has given are 22..
confusing.....
Some squadrons have more than one call sign, there are also CCS units and FCU.
My personal calculation is that there are 18 front line combat squadrons....plus two CCS units.

.
This is first squadron of BLOCK II which is going to be officially inducted not 2nd squadron of BLOCK II

. .
Hopefully the JF-17 wont experience no further crashes like in mangla hills and most recently the arabian sea.

A-5s are I think in storage and being maintained as war time reserve. There are no A-5 air frames being used as monuments or displays, so it confirms the aircraft are not mothballed yet.
there's one in kamra along side a F-6

In my own opinion PAF should consider converting retired aircraft into UCAVs, Decoy UAVs or Cruise missiles, like China has done with its retired J-6s and J-7s. Would be good fodder for expending or forcing revealation of opponent SAMs.

UAV converted J-6s have the canopy deleted where as the J-7s still retain them so look the same as regular J-7s. Can google it up.

The latest news is that the No 14 squadron re-equipment ceremony will take place next month.
And lately it's JF-17 units which have been patrolling on the LOC. Interestingly every time our aircraft head towards the border, the Indians quickly leave the area.
