This is just perception of some people. TUQ has nothing to do with PPPP, same can be said to PTI working for PPPP as their all politics and agenda is against PMLN which will benefit PPPP.
Instead of going on rumors , look the real ground, All 3 days of petition was focused on dual nationalist, and their intention, behaved as 2nd and 3rd class citizen.

This is not just Pakistan but almost everywhere - that dual nationals are always going to be nationals with some doubt.

I look at it a different way, though. You can be a dual national, just as you can perhaps be a CEO of two companies, however when conflict of interest arises, or your two companies become rivals, you have to pick one.

The statement by Jinnah to Mountbatten that you can't be the head of Pakistan and India - "In a war, who would you ask to attack and who would you ask to defend?" is very powerful.

Which is the right approach. But a dual national must not be denied application in court of law. This I think is the flawed argument in this case.

That's not what happened here.

Qadri raise a matter of public interest in the SCP. His petition was unmaintainable that he couldn't prove his sincerity to the public interest given he has taken an oath to be loyal to the Queen too.

Dr. Qadri pointed out that Justice Chaudhry is sitting on the Supreme Court bench based on an oath he took under Gen Musharraf's PCO which was a violation of Pakistan's constitution. Eminent Pakistani lawyer Aitazaz Ahsan agreed that the sitting judges' oath under PCO was a much bigger issue than Dr. Qadri's loyalty oath to the Queen of England.

The overt hostility of Pakistani judges and some in the media toward Pakistani diaspora is especially troubling given the fact that Pakistani economy is being kept afloat by more than a billion dollars a month in remittances. These remittances add up to about 5% of Pakistan's GDP and represent the largest foreign currency inflow into the country. This is another case of some Pakistanis biting the hands that feed them.

While I agree with the Court's decision to dismiss Dr. Qadri's petition at this stage, I do think that the Court has left a very bad taste in the mouths of overseas Pakistanis who have become dual nationals. They currently contribute over $12 billion a year to Pakistan's economy but they have no voice in how the country should be run.

Let me remind all those interested in improving the political process and governance in Pakistan that Dr. Qadri has already made an enormous contribution by articulating and pressing for specific steps under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution to rid Pakistani parliament of corrupt politicians. One obvious result is the recent decision by the Election Commission of Pakistan to work with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the State Bank of Pakistan to identify and disqualify tax evaders and loan defaulters from seeking election to parliament.

Well CJ, you better have an Answer to why your lame arse son goes to England and lives in 5 star hotel for weeks every few months. Where does his loyalty stand why did he go to the Queen's land rather than a muslimoon land, how did he make 90 crore Rupees being a general doctor and in such a short time.

Looks like there is a deal in place, its clear CJ is noora league's man one thing is for sure, till date cases filed again bogus votes is in courts filed by PTI/mubashar luqman yet CJ is quiet over it.

People are bringing in all sorts of nonsense, thori constitution parhlo then you'll know SCP did the right thing.

Qadri filed a petition in the apex court under Article 184(3) of the Constitution, arguing that the SC declares void ab initio the appointment of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and four ECP members as these were not done in accordance with the provisions of Article 213 and 218 of the Constitution.

Now Qadri failed because he petitioned under Article 184(3) ONLY.

What is 184(3)?

184. Original Jurisdiction of Supreme Court.
(1) The Supreme Court shall, to the exclusion of every other court, have original jurisdiction in any dispute between any two or more Governments.
Explanation.-In this clause, "Governments" means the Federal Government and the Provincial Governments.
(2) In the exercise of the jurisdiction conferred on it by clause (1), the Supreme Court shall pronounce declaratory judgments only.
(3) Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 199, the Supreme Court shall, if it considers that a question of public importance with reference to the enforcement of any of the Fundamental Rights conferred by Chapter I of Part II is involved have the power to make an order of the nature mentioned in the said Article.

Now that this is a matter of public importance, not of personal importance, he needs to PROVE his sincerity to the public which he can't since he took an oath of allegiance to somebody other than the public.

He should abandon his oath of allegiance to them and pledge his allegiance to Pakistan only to raise an issue of PUBLIC IMPORTANCE.

You know what! This is a typical arrogant Pakistani trait that you will see in every official in Pakistan government or army.

Contribution of overseas Pakistani go unrecognized. I m fine with the fact that dual nationals must not hold public office. But in Pakistan, we have Asim Hussain, Rehman Malik and Altaf Hussain doing politics and running government too.

Its strange that those who have given more to the country than taken are looked down as suspicious while those who looted the country, created chaos in our cities and ran away from the country seeking asylum abroad are given top positions in the government and have massive say in the country's politics.

If Tahur ul Qadri's petition was not maintainable, then how come a government run by shady characters who are dual nationals too be sustainable.

Dual nationals dont even get to vote in the country. They only get bad mouthing from people in Pakistan.

Just for clarification, in the oath of Canada, there is no pledge to allegiance to the Queen to England. Dont know where this has got into stupid and rigid official minds of Pakistan.

It was Dr. TuQ who pointed out that dual nationals cannot contest elections, before no one in Pakistan knew it, apparently not even ifitkhar ch.

Where in law is it written that dual national cannot file petition against open corruption in formation of ECP?

Iftikhar ch. suspected his alligience with Pakistan... but how about the other dual nationals sitting in parliament, judiciary and every govt. office?

You can't sentence any one for insincerity until proven.

Will you take part in elections, while ECP is fraudulently formed by mutual agreement of political parties?

We can conveniently, conclude that PPP has given out in favour of PTI, with condition that Balawal will be allowed to take roots but Punjab govt. will be given to PML-N.

IMO, judiciary is fraudulent when political parties divide judges quota! where judges work for them...

In any case Ifitkhar ch. is a crook and he proved it time and again.
