Like the Indian Blue changed some years ago from the light blue, even the Pakistani green of today is pretty confusing. I keep getting them confused with the Bangladeshis because the yellow and red dabs respectively are not at all prominent.

Pakistani team apprehensive about players' security: Official
IANSTuesday 8th March, 2016

Dharamsala, March 7 (IANS) A team of security officials from Pakistan were apprehensive about the security of their country's cricket players during the Pakistan-India match here on March 19, an Indian official said on Monday.

The team from Pakistan arrived through the Attari-Wagha border post near Amritsar and reached Dharamsala to review the security arrangements for the match which is part of the coming ICC T20 World Cup.

The visiting team, including the Federal Investigation Agency director and a Pakistan Cricket Board member, met top government officials, including of police, and expressed apprehensions about Pakistan players' security from the Gaggal airport to the stadium, the official told IANS.

"They seem to be more concerned about the security from the Gaggal airport to the stadium and between the stadium and the players' residential complex," he said.

The distance between the Gaggal airport and the stadium is about 20 km. Likewise, the players' residential complex, known as The Pavilion, is five km away from the stadium.

The Pakistani team, which refused to interact with the media, also visited the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) stadium here and The Pavilion.

"However, they are quite satisfied with the security arrangements at the stadium and the residential complex," the official, who didn't wish to be identified, told IANS.

The Pakistani team crossed the Wagha-Attari joint checkpost on foot before heading for Dharamsala, nearly 235 km from Attari.

"We would like to proceed further. You know the reason why we have come here," an official from the team told the media at Attari without elaborating.

The visiting team was joined by a Pakistani High Commission official in New Delhi.

The security concerns for the Pakistan cricket team arose after Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh last week announced that his government could not provide security to the team.

The cricket team's visit is opposed by ex-servicemen and families of martyrs from the state.

They say they will not allow Pakistan to play the match at Dharamsala as the neighbouring country was responsible for repeated terror attacks in India in which many soldiers were killed.

The three-member team will submit its report to Pakistan's Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan and Pakistan Cricket Board officials after reviewing the security arrangements for the Pakistan cricket team in Dharamsala.

Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary and Bharatiya Janata Party MP Anurag Thakur, who is HPCA administrator, has said it would be very difficult to shift the match from Dharamsala at this stage.

I actually think the biggest risk to the Pakistani team is coming from Pakistani terrorists. 2 days ago the Pak NSA said that there are 10 Pakistani LeT terrorists inside India and now Shivrati has passed without incident in Gujarat the remaining high profile event has got to be the T20 world cup and one has to ask why is the Pak side so concerned about their team this time around? Do they know more than they are saying?

I think Send our Cricket team with OK signal by me
.
Although Indian Politicians are spreading hate BUT it'll reveal them more and more....we all know where India is heading under the command of Modi the Magnificent....Just one push more....it is a Win-win scenario for us but from the Indian perspective its Lose-Lose...??Why?
.
If we let our team visit India,

1. it will be remembered as good gesture ....on the Contrary....India signed a STATE AGREEMENT to play with pakistan in Srilanka and Dubai....and they finally backed off in the last minutes

2. It will put Indian RSS mentality Politicians on Trial......they will do every effort to sabotage the Game and Jump high then before to let their audience convince about their sincerity
So
we in Pakistan enjoy delicious news Everyday.....RSS attacked Modi for failure, Pitch under attack, then RSS & mango man party formed an alliance to stop next match , then out of nothing some sitting minister issue Hateful statement......
.
3. Onus of Burden will be shifted in India's favor to prove his words....my Point is...it will reveal India more & more from inside ,and it cost us nothing a DIME

4. Whether we win T20Cup or not.... why not enjoy 2 Shows on 1 ticket.....there is nothing to looose

5. If we stop our boys sending there....it will be a 1 day heyday in pakistan but in a longer run we miss the Opportunity of revealing Digital India

Ever since India refused a bilateral series with pakistan it has itself an obvious target. The whole idea is to show India as an unsafe place just like pakistan is. Consider this ,pakistan takes time to file an FIR or action against pathankot attackers but immediately provides intel on infiltration about LET terrorists into the country which is amazing.

They are just letting us know the obvious and later will claim to the international media that they are co-operating with India by providing the info. The idea is to escape the blame for any terrorist attack in future and blunt reaction from India later onwards. This is nothing more than a diplomatic shield for pakistan.

India has to play smart, if we are able to capture any of these before hand we should publicly thank them and give them credit. That will set in motion, another set of dynamics at home in pakistan.

Lol that's why BCCI is giving statements on daily basis to please come and play here with us...!

BCCI never issued such statement, so dont flatter yourself. Thats just your wishful thinking.
Rather its ICC that issued a threat to PCB about consequences that is the reason why PCB is on its knees.

I don't know who wrote this article but Dhoni is still 3-4 years away from retiring from ODI and T-20. In fact he retired from test last year only because he stays long ij short formats.

PS: By the way @Musafir117 , what was your previous handle?
