interestingly Aselflir300 still on the board they would replace it with CATS, if i am not wrong i see longer wings(probably new equipment makes wings longer). they put Laser Warning Receiver and new EW suit

CATS are not already accepted. Aselsan introduced another product instead of IDEF this year. CATS will probably be old history.

Yes. Especially if you have an option like Cirit Missile.

Then I should think that they make the new product as an ornament and that is why they introduce it in the idef? Or should I consider using CATS only in 2 of the Anka whose number exceeds 30?

Using a 30 mm cannon in Atak helicopter means less ammunition, means less bullets. Atak can carry 500 rounds in its current state. In other helicopter projects, we can see the cannon changed.

20mm is more than enough for dealing with terrorists. In fact it's perfect for taking out infantry. Don't forget that the T129 is a fairly light helicopter and is suitable for strafing runs. That's why the fast firing M197 is more suitable than the M230. The cannon on the T129 sprays fast and devastates groups of infantry with little room for error. Perfect for targeting PKK terrorists who are trying to flee for cover.

We will definitely see a larger gun on the 8-10 ton heavy attack helicopter. Something that will fit its role.

How can it counter newer MANPADS like Verba though? Flares aren't sufficient alone.
