The problem with Syria is that its armed forces are recruited from a small elite minority that is afraid of the majority; in such a situation, the armed forces have no problem shooting civilians.

India's armed forces are disproportionately Hindu. Watch out Muslims and Sikhs.

So what do you expect from a country with 80% Hindus.

The same applies to PLA with majority being Han Chinese. So watchout Uighurs and Tibetans.
