what you mean?
Close range dogfights Jeff will struggle, leaving it at a complete disadvantage to anything with HOBS capabilities. The negative angle on the gun and extremely limited ammo make it not an ideal dogfight weapon, Slower than her contemporaries and overall lacks the engine power to stay in the fight. The only way the jf17 ( we call it jeff in the aviation world ) can win in a dog fight vs the fulcrum is to fly fast with high energy. Any other scenario flying at lows speeds or below the deck and the jeff is grilled. Jf 17 is too heavy from the middle cause it not to be so maneuverable.
in modern air combat, dogfights are no longer a thing and BVR combat is where it's at. Yeah, pilots still practice for it because you never know what's going to happen, but modern doctrine is to launch your BVR missiles at the enemy and when you run out, you go home and let another flight take over. Saying that the JF-17 can't out-perform the Mirage/Migs 29 in a dogfight is like saying a person can't win a hand-to-hand fight against a bear while ignoring why they're even getting that close to a bear in the first place.
At the end the pilot is the important key not the jet > like we saw the mig 21 shooting down f16.
