Syrian first lady Asma al-Assad underwent successful surgery at the military hospital in Damascus, the Syrian president’s office has announced via its social media accounts.
According to the official page of the Syrian presidency on Facebook and other official account, as part of the follow-up of Mrs Asma al-Assad for the treatment of malignant tumor, Mrs Asma al-Assad underwent a successful breast surgery at the military hospital in Damascus.
The Syrian presidency wished Mrs Asma al-Assad a speedy recovery.
On Saturday, The first lady, Asma al-Assad, has visited several wounded Syrian soldiers in the Nabek area of Damascus countryside and in Damascus. The visit came after a check carried out yesterday morning in the military hospital in Damascus during the follow-up treatment.
The Syrian presidency has announced that Mrs Asma al-Assad has been diagnosed with breast cancer during the early detection of the disease, and has been undergoing necessary treatment over the last few months.
