Swastika and "Islam will rule" Tag put on Jewish school by Muslims

are you daft?

The Mosques mentioned are the work of kids?

They maybe more ancient than your lineage!

And you feel that these Mosques were made by idiots?

From Firday Mosque, Ishfahan.
Iran - Friday Mosque in Isfahan

There is a misunderstanding here, first of all which Mosque is this as there are hundreds of Mosques in Iran.

If you had read the posts, you would know.

Or if you had been good enough to open the link!

However, it is the Blue Mosque in Isfahan.

actually, i agree with you 100%

the Azan itself is just a call to prayer; but i do think that for Muslims and non-Muslims alike --Mosque would be better served by having it at a reasonable level (but not too loud) and ensuring that the acoustics and all are proper as well.....the recitation (or pre-recording) can perhaps be chosen by the people who have to hear it everyday.......(i doubt this would ever take place, but just an idea)

the worst thing is when you have different Mosques, which seem almost to be 'competing' against eachother for who has the loudest speaker......the Azan gets all jumbled up and there's no unison.

again, it's just a call to prayer.....it should serve its purpose but also be pleasing; not "cacophonous"

in my opinion

so what do the sikhs and hindus and other groups do in bharat, how is prayer/congregation time announced

Just my thought.

I heard it in Malaysia and it was from a Mosque just next to where I was standing.

I stopped since I could not believe it could be so soothing, unlike what we hear in India.

My mother told me when I was a child that it is quite musical and soothing (we are from East Bengal). I laughed, since what we hear in India is actually harsh noise and you are right, each one competes to be more loud without realising that it is being jarred by static and screeches as a badly tuned loudspeaker normally is!!

I take the azaan as a reminder to give my thanks to the Creator.

"Swastika and "Islam will rule" Tag put on Jewish school by Muslims "

Nothing in the article says that this act of graffiti was committed by Muslims. Is there any way to change the title thread?

i was in a hurry and didn't have time to go through the long posts, i just noticed this picture, but anyhow.

However, it is the Blue Mosque in Isfahan.

The Blue Mosque was built during the Safavid rule and therefore predates Hitler and Nazis, so how is it logical for anyone to say that those who built the mosque were anti-semites?

.
the best Azan I ever heard was in Istanbul, Turkey.......at Sultan Ahmet Masjid.

here's an Azan, by an Iranian cleric --which i found to be quite nice. (with translations)

Swastika does not represent islam, cresent does..no muslim in his right mind would associate swastika with islam since its a hindu symbol to begin with...looks like a work of propoganda gone wrong.

Yes it is a Hindu symbol but then it has the whole Aryan Race angle. Do you even go through the whole thread?

Just a post above you says that Swastika was used by Hitler and Neo-Nazis too. :)

I would not know.

That is not my line of post.

I was merely stating that a swastik was an universal good luck sign.

say what you want, justify as you like, but you cannot run away from facts!

All Azaans call the Muslims to prayer so there is no difference there. I like this Azaan (very emotional):

It is a misconception from Ottomon times. Originally Islam has only one symbol and it is "There is no God but God and Muhammed is his prophet" nothing more.

That is true.

The Wahabis are the only ones who believe it strictly.

They do not allow marking of graves, or mazars or festivals like Shab e Barat and so on, lest the love is not solely for Allah.

Again in reality there are lots of things that fall under the name of "Bed'ah" which is to do something out of your own without God telling you to do it even if you mean will with it.
This is the way that Jews and Christians have swayed from the correct path and it is best to avoid it. and love is not solely for Allah but worship is.
