Gandhi's biography can be used by you as toilet paper and I do not think anyone will give a damn. But do not try to do that with Gita. Results will be telling.

That should tell you what is religion and what is not.

I am saying

Gita is Universal book. It can be taught at any school. It never says one to convert to Hinduism. It says how to live good life. Its talk about moral conduct.

If Indian govt make it National book or if they put it in School syllabus, it won;t gonna harm Indian secularism...

Hope I am clear now... Having said that I will say that "its all depend upon wisdom of Politicians"

Not a single Hindu book talks about conversion. Also all of them are full of morals and about living a good life. I know you are right wing, but the understanding you have of Hindu scriptures is limited. Not that I know a lot, but at least I can see how dangerous arguments disassociating Gita, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Yoga from Hinduism is.

Basically, what people are trying to do is mine Hinduism. Take away the jewels and tell us, hey look caste, curry, sati, and dowry are Hinduism. Rest all has nothing to do with you guys.

Indian secularims was never secular in the first place to worry about it now. It was minorityism through and through based on defrauding of a passive majority. The cries coming from those quarters now are their fears of losing their privileged existence over the Hindus.
